This past Friday, I shot a scene for a movie called "Decades" (directed by Cristo Giovanni for Inpulse Pictures ). Inpulse is a new company founded by a group who left VCA Pictures when it was sold.

Their concept is: porn for women.

Not porn for couples - porn for women.

It was a fascinating experience (so different from ANY experience I have had so far) that I am VERY curious as to what the ADT community thinks about this.

The Concept
"Decades" is not a feature. There is no plot, acting, or script. It is a vigenette strictly in the sense that every scene has a "setting" and you get an idea what is happening from the props and costumes - but it is pure sex like a gonzo movie.

The theme is a fantasy from different decades of the 1900's. They shot a scene from the 1920's, 1940's, 1950's, 1970's, and 1990's. (My scene was from the 1950's)

They shot with 3 High-Definition cameras on a soundstage dressed with an amazing collection of props (we used a 50's car in my scene) professionally lit with an incredible array of studio lights. They were shooting with dollies and tracks. It was very pretty.

They used only very good-looking guys. "Pretty boys". I performed with Kris Slater. Our friend Sergio was working with Lainey in our scene as well. They had just finished shooting Evan Stone with Lisa Marie in the 1920's scene before us.

We were actually told "you are in the movie, but this isn't about you - it is ALL about the guys".

The Break from Male Targeted Porn Tradition

1) They did NOT shoot "pretty girls" - all the photos of the girls posing for the boxcovers, posters, promotional stills, etc.

2) They DID shoot "pretty boys". Kris and Sergio had to pose for a whole photo shoot like Lainey and I usually always have to.

3) They shot tease video of the guys. Like Joey Silvera or Tom Byron shoot tease videos of the girls that you see before their scenes.

4) During the scene, the girls were asked to not make too much noise and the boys were asked to make noise.

5) During the scene, the camera was focusing on showing the guy. For example, when I am giving Kris a handjob I have to stand behind him so his body is in full view and I am just arms and a face behind him.

6) All the closeups focused on the guys butt, his muscles, his chest, his face as the girl did something to him.

7) No male fantasy sex acts - just extremely romantic, loving sex. (No anal, no facials - cum shots on the breasts, etc. Tons of kissing, looking into each other's eyes, pussy-licking, etc.)

The format for the scene will be the 1) "pretty boy" tease video, 2) the guy "Decade" fantasy set-up, 3) the sex.

The Shoot Itself

This was SO fun to be a part of - what a change!

This shoot went really long and luckily Kris and Sergio are friends of ours (Kris is married to one of my friends Pason - used to go by the name Red Heaven) and Lainey was just a totally cool chick that we bonded with right away. So the five of us (me, hubby, Kris, Sergio, Lainey) had a blast hanging out and talking about how different this was.

Our scene was set in th 1950's. There was a gorgerous car from the 1950's, a jukebox, fantasy colored lighting, etc.

They shopped for fantastic costumes and had a very talented person doing makeup. When we got there I saw Lisa Marie done up like a 1920's girl and my heart stopped. I LOVE the 1920's and the looked like she had stepped straight out of that time period.

Lainey and I looked like 50's girls. They had the poodle skirts for us, the little sweaters, our hair was total 50's. We looked like we had jumped out of the movie "Grease".

A funny tidbit - Lainey went outside to get some fresh air - we were shooting at a studio downtown - and a guy walking by asked "what is that costume for?". Instead of telling him - "oh, we are shooting porn - wanna watch?" she looked at him with a really hurt face and said - "what do you mean??? this is how I dress everyday!". LOL I think he felt really bad.

Kris and Sergio were SO nervous about their "pretty boys". They were joking they know how to do all the girl poses because they watch that every single day, but that they didn't know how to do boy poses. (For the record, they did great! Kris could totally go be a pro model.)

They also shot me with Kris and Lainey with Sergio, of course. Incredibly romantic pictures.

For the video tease, they shot the guys washing their car. Just two guys with their shirts off out washing their car.

Then us girls walked in to flirt with them (no talking) and tease them trying to get them to focus on us instead of the car. The flirting and teasing was incredibly sexy.

The sex was shot at the same time. Lainey and Sergio were on a chair by the jukebox and Kris and I were using the car. It was VERY passionate, VERY SEXY, VERY romantic.

My Take on the Movie

They hit a home run.

I know I can't ever explain well enough that you feel like you were there and you can see in your mind what I am trying to describe. But, I think that it is the kind of thing that a woman would watch and be turned ON by not turned OFF.

Am I wrong?

I only saw the 1920's & 1950's set, props, costumes, makeup, etc. but it made me SO want to see the 1970's (I think they were going to set that in a disco/nightclub), etc. to see what they did with it.

I guess I have NO idea how big that market is and how many women aren't buying porn because they don't have this. How many people will buy it?

Their budget was VERY big for this movie.

I did find it very interesting that they did not shoot a feature story.

A comment I read (I think by Tony C???) was very interesting - roughly put as I remember it: gonzo tries to do too little and features try to do too much.

Personally (no right or wrong here- I am only describing my TASTE), I dont' know if I want my porn mixed with a real movie plot and story. I like just watching sex. But I LOVE viginette sex - I love the sex to have a reason. I like to know what the fantasy is.

The 64 Million-Dollar Question

1) Is this the style that hits the target dead-on for "women only" (remember, they are very clear it is not even targeted to couples)?

2) Will enough women buy it to make it commercially viable?

LAST NOTE: I was told that the title "Decades" may be a working title only and it may change when it comes out. Don't worry, you know me - LOL - I will update you when it does come out. I don't think this movie will be released until the spring next year.

If anyone from Inpulse Pictures reads ADT - would love to hear your thoughts. I had a great experience with your project and am giving it my recommendation.

Rob Black, Chuck Zane Partnering Up?

I can't believe this rumor, but a normally reliable source says Rob Black and his uncle Chuck are partnering with Brooklyn wiseguy Dennis Desantes (sp?), a friend of Keith Gordon's of Bizarre and Jill Kelly Productions. I've always thought that Rob hates Chuck but this comes from a Brooklyn source.

Rob almost got taken out by Iggy (a capo in the Gambino family and one of the shooters in the Paul Castellano murder) and some other Brooklyn players for not paying his mob-associated duplicator in 2002.

Usually when you partner with a mobster, they do nothing but take your money.

Dennis isn't a big deal. He's someone's little brother. His power comes from the people he knows.

AVN is looking more gay by the day.

They just hired Aly Drummond, who's a lesbian. Nobody is sure what she's going to be doing. They hired Chad Beecher (unknown gay guy) to work with Renee Johnson running Internext.
