Xbiz Plans Huge Event In January

By John Sanford
LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce plans for an unprecedented series of six grand-slam events dubbed XBIZ 2013 that will kick off the New Year Jan. 9-12 in Los Angeles, taking attendees on a 360-degree journey into the heart of the industry to decode its future, ignite commerce and spotlight success on center stage at the most extravagant awards show in industry history, the 2013 XBIZ Awards.
Set to feature an elite group of industry icons, fearless trailblazers and creative visionaries, XBIZ 2013’s lineup of A-list special guests will anchor the forward-thinking agenda, serving attendees tactical insight into the underlying dynamics and future direction of the industry.
The epicenter of XBIZ 2013 will be the luxurious Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, the hub of the industry events that will be the backdrop for the week of festivities that will reach its climax on Friday night, Jan. 11, at the 2013 XBIZ Awards, which will be staged at a new, ultra-exclusive venue to be revealed in coming weeks.
“XBIZ 2013 will raise the bar for trade events with an extraordinary series of engagements designed to methodically probe the industry with the greatest minds in the biz today," said Don Parret, executive director of publishing.

Dan Miller, executive managing editor, said that XBIZ for the first time will be introducing a lineup of sessions designed for content producers, performers and digital media distributors to define the future of the adult entertainment business.
“Digital media and traditional video content now go hand-in-hand,” Miller said. “Because of the profound significance of that intersection, we feel the time has come for a specialized event that unites the entire community under one roof to interact, share insights and position their businesses for the future.”

Associate Publisher Sara Sazzman said XBIZ 2013 will be the ultimate forum to gain invaluable ideas, cultivate new relationships and conduct business.
“We are planning a phenomenal slate of events,” Sazzman said. “XBIZ 2013 will fuel the ultimate synergy between complementary market segments as we embark on an exciting new year.”

In addition, XBIZ 2013 will facilitate business between global markets, as attendees will descend upon L.A. from every corner of the world. The week also will feature numerous special events such as cocktail receptions and after-hours parties so attendees can unwind after a full day of doing business.

Events Director Moe Helmy, who has engineered XBIZ events both domestically and abroad and who built the XBIZ Awards into the biggest industry awards event of the year, is looking forward to directing a series of events beyond the breadth and depth of anything the industry has ever seen.
“We’re applying everything we’ve learned from producing standard-setting events during the past decade to this incredible week of festivities in January,” Helmy said.

Kristen Kaye, executive director of business development, said that XBIZ 2013 will redefine what industry professionals have to come to expect from trade events.
“We have never been about maintaining the status quo and that will never be more evident than with what we have planned for XBIZ 2013,” Kaye said. “We intend to create an all-encompassing extravaganza so elaborate in scope that it changes the way you view business events.”

Alec Helmy, XBIZ founder and president, said that he looks forward to XBIZ 2013 ushering in a new era in January.
“XBIZ 2013 will be the Super Bowl of industry events,” Helmy said. “We look forward to delivering an exhilarating experience.”
