What MAY have happened, Circumstances surrounding Patient Testing…

NL-This was left as a comment and should be considered Op/Ed. TY Michael

I went back and forth with Michael about this earlier today, and he admits that this whole ELISA nonsense is double hearsay, at least (he heard it from someone who claims to have heard it from the owner of Talent Testing Services).

FSC has not announced the details of the test, and I have not seen the results, or what kind of test it was, but there is NO WAY in hell any lab would rely on an ELISA antibody-based test in the event of a new/acute infection.

Here we have an adult performer, who tests monthly, and suddenly the patient tests positive. That means one of two things:

1) the patient is newly infected; or
2) the test is in error.

NO ONE would test a new case with a ELISA and call it definitive. That’s not in the APHSS protocols, and it wasn’t in the AIM protocols. I would bet dollars to doughnuts that it was NOT an ELISA test.

The MUCH LARGER question here would be IS THE OWNER OF TALENT TESTING SERVICES BREACHING THE MEDICAL PRIVACY RIGHTS OF HIS PATIENTS?

If he is, as rumored, blabbing about specific test results and the number of tests, then Patient Alpha, and others, would have a VERY serious medical privacy claim against TTS. Have we not learned from the lawsuits against AIM? Is anyone comfortable with this report?

Think this through logically, and perhaps we can deduce what happened. Here’s what we know:

Patient Alpha tests positive outside the APHSS system.

Then, somehow, for some reason, APHSS takes over the testing of Patient Alpha.

Talent Testing is NOT affiliated (and reportedly REFUSED to be affiliated) with FSC. TTS wanted that business all for itself.

In order for FSC to step in, Patient Alpha would have had to sign a waiver or set of waivers.

Why would Patient Alpha do that if the Patient was happy with the service received getting at a non-APHSS lab?

Would TTS be HAPPY to see Patient Alpha turn to ASPHSS?

The second big question is: WHAY DID TTS SUDDENLY ANNOUNCE THAT IT WOULD BE CLOSED THIS WEEKEND? It announced its “new hours” at the very last minute.

What are they doing behind closed doors?

Why would a major testing lab close its doors o the middle of a run on testing centers — during a HIV scare where performers are practically running to get re-tested?

What could be so important that they’d be willing to turn away that kind of business and forsake the clients who trust them with their health — driving them into the arms of the competition?

@Anthony – Yes, APHS has announced it will be doing follow-up testing with the individual after some time has elapsed.

And, NO, TTS is not part of APHSS, so the three alleged positive test results from TTS CANNOT be part of FSC’s re-testing of Patient Alpha. This fact leads me to believe that if Patient Alpha HAD BEEN testing at TTS (as rumored), for some reason not yet known, abandoned TTS and ran to the arms of APHSS.

I hate that all these rumors are getting attention as if they make sense. Having a blog or a gossip site does not make you an expert, Mr. Vegas, nor does it provide you with the protections that journalists enjoy (read the case law). How about asking around for the opinion of those in the know, or talking directly to the parties you have implicated, before rushing out a blog post?

Weinstein started his latest press offensive based on information AHF cobbled together from the rumors and scuttlebutt on GFY and Mike South’s site. AHF punk Whitney Engeran actually posts on Mike’s site.

It was rumors like this that led directly to the defamatory statements made by AHF against Manwin and FSC. They were widely circulated, and, even if retracted, have caused harm.

  2. Speculating about the rumors is no better than the rumors. This seems very one-sided against TTS. I would be very surprised if TTS violated anyone’s privacy. When I called TTS to ask a question about my account, I was very impressed by how carefully they authenticated me.

It shouldn’t be surprising that patient alpha tested outside of the APHSS system with it being so new and TTS still being the generally recognized system.

Obviously APHSS and those connected with it stand to benefit from casting doubt about how TTS handles such situations so pardon my skepticism. I think TTS should be given a chance to respond. I do hope TTS will do a better job at communicating than AIM.

Regarding APHSS, I already have to trust a lab like TTS with my privacy and security so I’m not in favor of also having to trust yet another organization to protect my personal information.

I’d like to see talent tested in a different way. Maybe current events or IQ test. Kinda a cross between Meatholes and Kink. Give them and oral exam and they get punished/degraded for wrong answers or based on the cumulative score. Should a chick get a score of 90 or higher, then she gets to dole it out to a dumb one. Crap, now I gotta go copyright this idea. What do we call it….how about DegradationExamination? Too long. PopQuiz, and the grades determine how they take the load? TightAndTarded? FunctionalOrFucked?

@Charlie – I’m not speculating about anything; I’m asking questions and I’m trying to get readers to use the powers of deductive reasoning.

Questions should always be asked when someone reads a report.

How did this story get here, and why?
    Who does it benefit?

These are basic questions that should run through anyone’es mind, even (or especially) when they read a newspaper.

A story (including gossip) don’t get reported unless someone wants it reported.
Information doesn’t become available unless someone makes it available.
    Actions have motivations.

You have to scratch the surface.
