The “Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn – The Greatest Illusion on Earth” is the first book ever written by a former porn star that exposes the “secret” side of porn. “Pornography is modern day slavery for thousands of women and the millions of addicts who can’t stop clicking,” said Lubben in her book.
Lubben pulls no punches as she details her own personal journey that starts at the age of 9 with childhood sexual abuse and moves on to prostitution and then into the porn business.
Following detailed behind the scenes accounts of how she and others were treated and abused, Lubben talks about the difficult road she traveled to not only get out of the industry alive and healthy – but also how she became the leading advocate speaking out against the porn industry while at the same time managing to raise a beautiful family with a loving husband and three daughters.

You can call yourself a “porn star” for having been in one porno, Beeyatch. For many the word is an epithet of shame and embarrassment, for others it is a hierarchical badge of honor, worthy only for those who have won so many porn awards or achieved some level of “mainstream” recognition, above and beyond other mere mortal celluloid whores. Regardless, “Porn star” is like “military intelligence”; an inherent contradiction. The bottom line is, if someone has to endure the blame and shame, then they should also be able to bask in the glory, so, yes Shelley’s a fucking former “porn star”.

ok, I have to agree with Brandon 1000% percent. I personally have been friends with one of the girls that used to do porn and is now with the pink cross, and everything that she has blamed the industry for is a total lie. Everything that happened to her did happen, but it was in her personal life, NOT during her porn career. They needed somebody to blame, so they twisted the whole story to make the adult industry look guilty, but I have the emails that can prove all this happened to my friend AFTER she left the business and not because of it.

The time the girls donate is out of religious duty and its therapeutic. There is no evidence to say that Shelly is cheating them.
How does she know for sure she got HPV from porn? While Herpes is distinctly possible, I believe HPV is an almost anywhere in the chain event, its why they want 12-13 year old girls vaccinated for HPV. From Shelley’s flimography it looks like she shot for shitty companies.
