  Can you tell us a little about your background ?
I grew up in a small town in Indiana, went to college there in Terre  Haute and graduated there. I majored in computer science. I have had a multitude of odd jobs before college including running a pet store, rehabilitating wildlife, (bottle feeding deer, racoons, squirrels, and other Indiana wildlife. I was a nurse’s aid in high school too and worked in a nursing home. I thought I wanted to be a nurse for a while. I drove semi-trucks up to loading docks to be washed when I was 17. I was a real tomboy.  When I was 22 I was going through a divorce and moved to Memphis, TN.

     Was your first time with a boy or a girl? What do you remember about it?
My first time with a boy was when I was a teen. My best friend moved away and I had him break into his old house in the dead of winter. We had sex on the couch, all fumbly and laughing. I remember that I left my jewelry in the house and he had to break in again to get it back for me.

My first time with a girl was when I was a dancer in Memphis. A cute couple came in and the girl was so adorable. They took me back to the hotel. She and I had sex while her boyfriend only watched. He touched her a little but he wasn’t allowed to touch me,lol.

    How did you get into the porn industry?
When I was dancing in Memphis, I met a girl that was in magazines and  DVD’s. She was featuring and told me that I should just go out to LA, get an agent and do it too. So, I did some reserach and 3 months later I was in LA. I stayed with my agent and worked my ass off for 22 days straight.
   
  How did you choose the names Joey, Little Trouble Maker and Rozalia and why did you      finally decide on Sarah Blake?
Funny thing about those names that companies picked for me. I don’t know where Rozalia came from. I think that may have been before I decided on a name. Joey came from Steve Lightspeed. I already owned my domain name (sarahblake.com) since he couldn’t buy the name, he changed my name and made up a story that I was 18. I was really 23 at the time,lol. I did hardcore strap-on girl/girl and solo work before I was contracted to be Joey for 20 days. I never had anything other than shooting to do with the site, and I was’t offered a contract. After the alloted work I was contracted for, I went back to everything else again. I went ahead with my plans to do boy/girl and other projects.

     I’m going to give you some names and I’d like you to tell us what you remember about working with them:
    Tristan Taormino– Amazing positive attitude and a love for life. I really loved working for her because she let you have real sex with the person you were with and valued genuine sexual fun.

  You’re in Road Queen 16 with Dragon Lily. Can you tell us about your scene?
The scene was that Dragon Lily was supposed to "turn me" to thedarkside, in a way of speaking. I was the innocent girl and she was the corrupter. She is amazing and a naturally takes charge. Her eyesare just amazing in a scene and everything else about her, YUM! I would love to work with her again

  Which female performers would you like to work with and why?
At this point I am mostly working on my own projects but there are a few women I would still love to work with, again. I didn’t have the pleasure to work with Gina Lynn, Teagan Presly and a few others but we had met on set. There is a bit of a list, lol

     How did you meet Dia Zerva and what do you like about working with her?
I was introduced to Dia by Claire Adams, another great friend of mine. We were invited over to dinner and stayed for drinks and laughs. Dia is a ray of sunshine and its great to bask in her light, She has an
innocent playfullness that just makes you act silly with her. I feel intoxicated when I work with her( in a good way) like being a silly again and just laughing, without the cares in the world. It’s pretty powerful.

     What’s your favourite fetish and why?
Oh, wow, favortie fetish. Damn, I am greedy, can’t pick just one and I  often combine them, lol. Well, I started out in BDSM thinking I was a  submissive and upon finding out differently, I have really been exploring even more on the dominant side of my personality. It’s been a journey of self discovery but I am a sadistic dominant with masochistic tendencies. I have a TPE 24-7 live-in slave. I don’t like to define myself in black and white terms so much since I am constantly changing, growing and evolving in knowledge of myself and my sexual desires.   Would you like to design your own range of fetish gear or sex toys? Which would you choose and what would you call it?
I don’t think I could improve upon a design so I wouldn’t want my own line. I leave those things to the experts.

   
  Why did you decide to go from being a star in mainstream porn to working mostly on your various sites on the net?
Mostly, it was safety. I don’t want to get sick. By being in complete control of who I work with and what I do on film, that creates less risk of infection, disease and other nasties. in 2004 I was 1 day away from getting HIV. I was supposed to work with someone and if they hadn’t switched my day and eventually cancelling the shoot due to the outbreak, I would be HIV positive. That really changed my mind about  how I worked and what I did on film. I went condom only at that point (why I didn’t do more boy/girl) and stayed mostly with solo and girl/girl. From there I escorted and just worked on my own projects. Now I do Pro Dom work and only work with my husband for boy/girl scenes.

     Can you take us on a guided tour of the different sites you’ve created and their content?
Recently I moved all my sites onto the clips4sale.com membership system. I was always banging my head against code, payment systems and all of that. My business has evolved quite a bit from membership sites to PPV.  By using their hosting and billing system I have a lot more free time to do what I really love: SHOOT! I was spending so much time on the nuts and bolts, that I was exhausted all the time. I didn’t have any free time anymore so I made a huge decision. I moved everything over and cancelled my servers. It no longer takes me hours to update all my sites, it takes minutes. Plus, all my content can be hosted there and I don’t have to remove old video to make room for new video. Sarahblake.com is still sarahblake.com but its better, with more video content. I am putting the photo sets back up now. The other sites are all there just on the new system. All the domains are rerouting still, but will be back up shortly. I combined the ducttaping.com and sarahblakebondage.com websites onto my bondage ppv clips store.

   I believe you have big plans for your future on the net can you tell us about them?
I had planned to make a megasite with all these different members areas, shopping cart and more but I scrapped that idea. I am now concentrating on making content and income streams that myself and my husband are able to keep up with. I decided to stop trying to fight and just evolve into a new way of doing things. I will probably add more different stores on clips4sale and I still have blogs and other more mainstream projects that I work on.
   
    Do you work with webmasters or do you do the technical work yourself?
 I had designers and programmers build most everything for me. I did all the updating and some technical things, built blogs, learned  coding, html, css, etc so I could change things if I wanted to. I did basic things but for any complicated programming, I had a few go-to people that were great. Now I leave that to someone else so I can work on marketing and shooting.

     What are the pros and cons of being your own boss?
The Con is that I am a slave driving bitch with huge expectations of myself and at times unreasonable goals and deadlines. It’s also all on my shoulders. If a project fails or revenue goes down, I am pretty  hard on myself. The pro is that no one is looking over my shoulder, I can take pride in my accomplishments, and things are done my way. I don’t have to tolerate a boss, and I get to work when I want to, which is a lot!
   
      What does the workaholic Sarah like to do to relax?
  I watch movies, play with my animals. In the future I hope to be able to take a vacation!
