Mary Carey Exclusive Interview- Porn, Drinking, Drugs, Marriage pt 1

Mary Carey has done a lot of mind-blowing things in her career so far. She ran for governor of California, gone on Howard Stern many times, done some crazy mainstream movies, was a contract girl for Kick-Ass Pictures, went on Celebrity Rehab & Sober House, made porn, left porn, made more porn and left porn again. After all this and through all this, over many years we’ve stayed friends.  We are the kind of friends that if we don’t talk for weeks or months, when we do talk it’s as if we were never separated. I’m happy to say that Mary is doing great now.  If you just met her today, you’d think she was just a regular (yet beautiful) girl next door, of course I know better…

Adult Fun 411: Let’s catch every body up with what you have been doing. Some people will be surprised to learn that you are about to celebrate your one-year wedding anniversary.


Mary: We are. It is right now one year since we met now. And we got married on July 12th.


AF: I do like Mario and I’m so glad you are happy, because you haven’t made such good choices with men before.


Mary: Yeah I know. My old friend used to say that I have a broken pecker picker. I’m usually really good at picking bad guys.


AF: How did you meet Mario?


M: I was out with Brittany Skye and I asked her to have her boyfriend find me a guy because I was really horny. So the next day, Brittany and I were really hung over and I was no longer in the mood to meet anybody. I was in sweats and no makeup. I hadn’t showered. And Mario came over. We just started talking and I didn’t think anything would come of it. Then two days later I was stuck in a hotel room bored, I called him and we ended up watching the Laker’s Game and I figured out I really liked him.


AF: Je’s a great guy.


M: I know. I do miss Florida though. I wanna move back. You can get a nice house there for the same price as a little condo here.


AF: I’d love it if you moved back here. So what’s your life like now?


M: I don’t really go out late and party anymore. I like to stay home, sit on the computer and watch Law & Order. I like all the Law & Orders that have to do with hookers, strippers. (Laughs)


AF: You watch the Sexual Victims one, I do too. I love that show.


M: I’m obsessed with that show. I love Stabler and Mariska Hargitay. Her mother was Jane Mansfield.


AF: I didn’t know that! I’ve  never watched that show when it was on network TV but now it’s on with  late at night and I am hooked. I watch them while I am working on my computer.


M: That’s what I do too. That’s one of the only shows I DVR, but it’s hard because I have seen all of them.


AF: You said you watched Little Miss Perfect too, I watch one like that but it’s called Toddlers in Tiaras.
M: I watch that one too.
AF: It’s funny how we have the same weird taste in television isn’t it?


M: I know. I really liked watching Rock of Love too.
AF: I never saw that, but I fell in love with Bret Michaels on Celebrity Apprentice because he is so hot and so lovable.
M: I didn’t watch that, I wish I would have.


AF: Staying home, watching TV. You are turning into an old married couple!


M: I’ve had this last month off and I’ve been falling asleep early and getting up around nine a.m.


AF: Oh my god, that’s early!


M: Well now I’m booked to go feature dancing and I’m going to have to readjust to being up late at night to do my shows.


AF: You’ll get energized when you see the crowds. Your fans are going to die when they see how incredible you look. You have never looked better

!
M: Thank you. We work out all the time. I don’t drink at all.


AF: One of the many things I love about you is that you are so honest. I know if you WERE drinking you would tell me. I am proud of you that you aren’t.


M: I remember when I started doing Celebrity Rehab, Dr Drew told us one at a time that if we didn’t want to come clean with everything that’s fine, but you won’t get the best help. A couple people didn’t want to talk all the time. But for me after doing porn I don’t feel like I have any secrets, so I’ll just tell everything.


AF: So how did you get that show? Did they have a casting call? We need famous people with drug problems! (laughs)


M: I was friends with Chyna and her manager called me and he was kind of beating around the bush because he didn’t want to tell me what Chyna said “My friend Mary is crazy”. And at that time I did take a lot of xanax and it started more so in 2006 when my Mom jumped off the building. (Her mom has some mental issues and tried to commit suicide) I couldn’t sleep at night I was constantly worried, so I was taking xanax to sleep every night. So when they offered me Celebrity Rehab I was really excited because I knew I wanted to get off xanax but I didn’t know how to get off of them. The show definitely looked more so like it was alcohol, because they didn’t show the parts when I talked about xanax. It was a great experience over all. Living with Bridget Neilson was probably like the coolest thing ever. She is so sweet.


AF: Who else was on the show with you?


M: Jessica Sierra from American Idol, Jamie Foxworthy, she was the younger sister on Family Matters, and she was my best friend on the show. Jeff Conway was on the show and I still hang out with Jeff and his girlfriend.


AF: He was the freakiest wasn’t he?
M: He was but that’s because he got dropped on his back when he was doing Grease on Broadway and he’s had a bad back and he’s on a lot of pain medication. They took him off his pain medication, that’s why he had a seizure.


AF: Dr Drew seemed like he really liked you.


M: He is really great. He definitely cares about people.


AF: You really had a reputation for being a heavy drinker before you went on that show. I didn’t know about the xanax.


M: The problem was that I would go out and get drunk and then the TMZ people would have me on camera which made people think I was like that every night, when it was more like once a month. When I do drink I don’t just drink a couple drinks though, I want to keep drinking. So that’s why I don’t drink that often. We aren’t drinking at all right now.


AF: I don’t drink very often anymore either, but I either drink a lot or don’t drink at all.


M: That’s exactly how I am.


AF: I know, we’ve done it together several times. (Laughs)


M: (Laughs) We’ll be in Florida in July and we are going to drink on vacation so we’ll have to get together. I can’t wait to see your pool. I love your house.


AF: I think we’ve done some new stuff since you’ve been here. We can go kayaking out back now.


M: That will be so much fun!


AF: So after Celebrity Rehab, you came back and did Sober House. Tell me about that, because I hated that guy you were seeing, that was your manager, David.
M: Everyone really hates him.


AF: I gotta say that was another one of your bad picks.


M: We weren’t even serious boyfriend and girlfriend. He said he could do mainstream stuff for me, and I never had a mainstream agent so I thought he would be good for me. They made him look a little worse than he was, and I did tend to over react to him.


AF: Well you are a drama queen.


M: (Laughs) You know I never realized I was so much, until I saw these shows.


AF: Why did you leave porn after doing the shows with Dr Drew?


M: Dr Drew does have a negative view of the adult industry and thinks porn is bad. He had told me to get out of it. I did take some time away from it, but I missed it, so I started a website again recently. I decided to do it right, do a really good one, with people that really know what they are doing. It’s a lot of fun now I love it!


AF: Did you end up having a falling out with Dr Drew because you did that parody porn Dr Screw?


M: That was David’s idea and I didn’t really want to do it. Drew got mad. I understand him being mad about me going back to porn but I don’t think he should have cared about the spoof. There are so many spoofs of everything I don’t understand why he was so insulted.


AF: Because it was a parody of him, having sex with his patients!


M: I wrote him an email apology. I do want to go back on now that I’m sober.


AF: When that movie came out I wrote to Dr Drew and asked him how he felt about it and he wrote something back to me like Mary is making bad decisions.
