NL-The scary thing is that all of these people, none of whom are currently in the industry, are going to be speaking and influencing a panel on rules that will change our industry forever. I’d like to see a few working porn actors/actresses & a member of the Free Speech Coalition on this list, but they aren’t there! I know there are wonderful eloquent speakers in our midst like Nina Hartley. Why isn’t anyone speaking? We are all Freedom of Speech people, all 1st amendment rights advocates. But no one is standing up for the industry here… I hope it’s not too late!
FROM AIDS Healthcare Foundation
Los Angeles, CA – June 28, 2010
California’s of Department Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) will convene its first meeting of an Advisory Panel to explore strengthening adult film worker safety regulations in California. During its Standards Board meeting in March in Costa Mesa, the Board voted unanimously to convene the Advisory Panel in order to take public comment from health advocates, industry officials and the general public on whether—and how—to amend state health statutes to better protect adult film workers. That March action came in response to a petition filed in December by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) seeking an amendment to broaden the Cal/OSHA’s “bloodborne pathogens” workplace safety regulations to better encompass adult film industry worksites.
Several former adult entertainment actresses as well as several public health advocates will testify at Cal/OSHA Advisory Panel meeting in support of changing state health regulations.

R U kidding, Cindi? No one from FSC is showing up? What the hell do they get money for then?
Do I have to show up and argue on behalf of the industry myself?
ABC local news right now just mentioned upcoming news this half hour on OSHA and how STD tests might be bad for the porn industry. That’s what I just heard them say.
had to wait till the very end of the 1/2 hour of course, no coincidence, the subject of porn is guaranteed to hold the audiences’ interest through the over-dramaticized and elongated weather reports and other news….
diana grandmason (former performer, named ?) suing aim for disclosing her private medical info, posted on membership only website.. one time fee of $200
what’s the damage?
mentioning of push for increased testing AND condom use
abc contacted AIM but received no comment
that is all
Wait a minute! 2x ABC promoted the upcoming story of why STD tests may be bad for the porn industry. They never addressed that point, unless they are implying Diana Grandmason’s suing AIM is the reason (regarding public disclosure of results). They also never said why she’s suing, in other words, what damage has it caused her. Well, at least ABC does comprehensive pictorial weather coverage (yawn).
No adult industry member is showing up for this puppet show, because nobody gives a fuck. Every pornographer whether performer or producer, director, videographer, etc. who has been in this industry more than a year knows this is worthless. CAL OSHA, AHF, Pink Cross, etc. can bark at the moon and eat shit all they want, but in reality nobody can control and police this industry. It’s too big, too complex and too diverse to adopt and obey any type of rules and regulations, and even if they pass some Micky Mouse law on paper, the bankrupt state of California does not have the funds and resources to execute and mandate that law. Let me remind you that nearly 30 years ago, when I first started in this industry as a performer, you could go to jail for shooting a scene. But that didn’t stop me or any of my colleagues from doing what we were doing, so what makes you think some pathetic condom conspiracy will change anything today?
I said it before and I’ll say it again: The adult industry’s true enemy is online piracy. That’s something to be concerned about. These ass licking, cock sucking meetings are not important and ain’t worth the time and energy.
LO effing L
This is an AHF press release. They have no idea who, if anybody, from the industry is going to be there. They just list the people from their organization, and those affiliated with them who are going to be there.
How would AHF know who, if anybody, from the industry is going to be there?
Jumping to false conclusions seems to be pretty common here on LIB.
You guys are a riot,,thank you for all the laughs in the last few weeks.
NO CURRENT INDUSTRY MEMBERS ARE SPEAKING!!! This is why you are called BLOGGERS and NOT jounalists. BLoggers NEVER let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Hey, if anyone is going, take pictures and email them to me!!
How does it feels to get called…a lesser site?
Frome Mike South site:
“Despite claims from lesser sites that nobody from the industry will be there to represent us that simply isn’t true. I do think the FSC should spell check their press releases though.”
yeah, yeah , yeah!! Just shut the fucking state down and Break this mother fucker into a major :don’t do bizness in this mother fucker!! take your money, and tell u what to do!! Fuck California, and fuck the state legilature, and fuck LA mayor Villaraza and his bunch of COCK sucker fag city council memebers. Yeah we’ll just move onto other countries and states. And Fuck U shlly Lubrication and you right wing ahf cocksucker. Go to HELL…I’m off and out of here…….
YEah…Lets move it to Miami and film out on the Biscayne Bay and the Gloria Estefan Star island and Bill Fisher Island, and out on the Atlantic, and down in South America with of course AIm or sts test!! Fuck California!! They want to to turn this into a POOR MOFO state! Then fuck them from the Govenor on down to Mayor Tony VillaRaza in LA…we’ll just make this state “broke” ass.
Rick,
The stae legislature, Mayor, and city council have had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with any of the current proceedings. (LOL) The LACK of legislation is the BEST thing the industry could hope for,,that is what has allowed this to continue for so long.
The american porn industry is based around the american girl,,,,,Where do you get american girls in brazil. The brazilian porn companies have that market corenered already And isnt there a case pending in Florida right now regarding pimping and pandering charges? In case youre not aware,,,Florida is a ‘red’ state.
And the AHF is a RIGHT WING organization?(LO EFFING L)
And the porn industry is going to bankrupt California by leaving? Again, LO EFFING L.
The VAST majority of money genereated from the sales porn industry is genereated in OTHER states, and countries. Large corperations like banks and Northrop lay off more people in ONE swoop than the total number of employees in the porn industry combined.
That’s good Joe we need that.. I just got word from friends in Miami that everything in LA is moving south to Miami beach for shooting and that the companies are going to keep SALES, and Distribution here and Production over there. YEs Joe, its a RED state with LATINo republicans and white one too, but just grease there PALMS with some cheese and the officals there will leave the producers alone. I just got booked again for 3 more shoots out there and looking forward to relocating….Mariah…Here comes your PAPI …Rick…LOL Meja..Hey u all Have a safe and happy 4th..
Rick,
you are aware of the current pendig court case similar to the Freeman case here incalifornia, where a porner has been charged with pimping and pandering.
Yeah Rick, you grease their palms,,,why dont you just do that here in California? LOL
You go right ahead Rick, take yourself and the three other jobs you provide in california to florida. I can see the state of calfornia anow,,,,,”Oh shit, the porn industry took their 1500 jobs to florida, what are we going to do?
Don let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. And dont expect it to be open when yo come back.
And rick, where did you get that retarded notion that AHF is a RIGHT WING organization. You dont even know your right from your left, so forgive me if I dont take anything you say with any creditbilty.
AHF is as FAR TO THE LEFT of the political spectrum that anyone could possibly ever get. THey are ten times farther to the left than RushLimbaugh is to the right. But keep making your legal and political statements Rick, they are good for a laugh now and then.
http://www.thedestinlog.com/news/mccowen-5208-ray-prison.html
Here ya go Rick. Have a good time in Florida without that little pesky Freeman protetion you get here in calfornia.
Like most porners, Ray Gun shot his mouth off about being unconstitutionaly prosecuted, but like usual, he ends up coping a plea. And you know what happens to those who dont cop a plea,,,,they get found guilty.
To quote the referenced article,,”The pleas were a good move on their part. THey were headed for a long ssentence.”
Maybe thats why Paul cambia said ;THe less responsible producers will move out of state”
Rick, are you one of those less responsible producers that Cambia was referring to.
Yeah, VIVD WICKED HUSTLER ZT, and all the big boys are going to shoot in FLorida. Rick, when your porn career ends you should consider stand up comedy.
Oh come on joe! Anyone who knows anything about porn in Florida knows that there are certain “tolerance zones” within the state. Porn production is not EXPLICITLY illegal but prosecution on the grounds of prostitution and obscenity is virtually certain in NORTHERN FLORIDA. You just don’t get any more conservative than the Florida panhandle.
Prosecutions are very rare in South Florida–specifically Miami-Dade–and the area can support a number of large scale producers (though it is doubtful they would tolerate the vast network that exists in SoCal). Several LARGE adult companies have operated in South Florida for DECADES without any problems and I know for certain that legislators in Broward and Miami-Dade are porn friendly.
The legislators in Florida have never passed one single piece of legislation regarding the production of adult material. ANd porn has been produced in California for DECADES without any problems also,,,that is until NOW. Same thing for Florida.
Theres an old song…”Dont think that it wont happen just becuase ti hasnt happend yet.”
These AHF guys are just getting started.
And if porn is considered piming and pandering in Florida,(and it is) guess what happens to the agents who fly girls from L.A. to Florida, or fromanyohter state to Florida (Mann Act anyone).
If I’m not mistaken this is next on the agenda. But there may be one or two other things before they get to this. These AHF guys have DEEP pocketsand four or five other lawsuits on seperate issues still up their sleeves.
And wait till AHF files the suit claiming that producing porn is not constitutionaly protected speech on the grounds that “during production of this speech people are routinely exposed to and are contracting diseases while producing this speech…Speech that results in the participants getting diseases is not protected speech. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to infect someone with a disease in order to create that speech. This is the issue with which the courts “may” use to rethink Freeman.
One thing for sure,,,some lawyers are going to make alot of money.
joe know, you are completely delusional. People can sue and legislate the sex industry to the moon and back, it’s not going to change a thing. You really need a new hobby, this condition of yours seems to be getting worse.
Really President….The Freeman decision didnt change a thing? Ask the 14 companies that have paid OSHA fines in the last two years if that didnt change a thing. Lets see if the civil rights lawsuit against AIM doesnt change a thing.
Kee looking at life through your porn colored glasses President. Your grasp on reality is slipping. Your wishful thinking, and thats all it is, aint going to help the industry.
If this all so unimporntant, why is the industry making all these emplty threats of takingtheir jobs elswhere? Why is AIm spending hundreds of thousands of performer dollars to fight this?
You keep on beleiving in your wishful thinking Pres.
And then Ask Max, Rob, Ray Gun and Stagliano if this aint changing a thing LO EFFING L Ask AIMs lawyersif this aint changing a thing. Ask the perfromers who now have to pay a higher price for their tests if this aint changing a thing.(a higher price in order to protect producers)
Ask TTBOY is OSHA didnt change a thing for him.
And of course, just like alot of the douchebags here, president resorts to personal insults, and made up little stories becuase he cant debate the issue. Yo guys NEVER fail to resort to the same old bullshit NEVER. You are as predictable as the sun setting in the west.
Have you ever had an original thought President, or do you just parrot your syandard old bullshit industry lines? Nothing new from you, as expecdted.
And Pres,
I bet the internet and piracy havent changed a thing either.
14 companies, or 1400 companies, it doesn’t matter. TT Boy? Who other than TT Boy gives a shit? Hell, at this point, even TT Boy doesn’t even care anymore. But you do. Just you. The only reason anybody bothers to discuss this nonsensical war on the equivalent of the cockroach is because you take up so much space with your repetitve ramblings. The Colonel put it very simply and correctly. This posturing crusading doesn’t mean jack shit in the long term. What does is the technology. So yes, the internet and piracy have changed things. These are two separate subjects. OSHA/AHF/whoever the fuck else can litigate and threaten to the moon and back 1000 times over, the cockroach is still going to be here. 5, 10, 20 years from now. What about this don’t you get?
