So I just got a call from a producer in Los Angeles that had read my post about agents and they told me some interesting stuff. The agents are making the girls do content trades and sometimes even running there websites. This has been going on for a while. I remember when Kevin use to work for Derek and be the girls webmaster and shoot them in scenes that they would not be paid for.
A content trade is when either a male and female or male and female and camera man do a shoot and everyone shares copyrights to the scenes. Well when a producer or director or agent is involved in this its not fair to the talent for many reasons.
Basically the agents are making the girls do free scenes and not only getting free content to sell or do whatever they want with but they are also running the girls websites and getting a cut of all the people that sign up with a credit card to become a member of THE STARS site. This is so wrong and something should be done about this. If you have a agent making you do content shoots or running a site for you I can bet your getting ripped off. This also goes back to the whole thing about the agent owning your ass and wanting you to do things you are not comfortable with.
Just to prove that this is going on I went to LA Direct Models site and took the first girl Aiden Ashley and checked who owned it and Aiden Ashley doesn’t but guess who does. That’s right Derek

The domain theft by agencies and agents has been going on for years! I heard that when talent signs up with LA Direct, there is contract clause that includes signing over their domain, so most performers would not notice it.

I’m far from being a fan of Donny Long, BUT in this situation I have to commend him for telling the truth on this issue.
I have been saying on my blog and website: gettingintoporn.com since I first entered the business as to how important it is that both female and male talents own their domain names and make the effort to take control of their own websites (or find an HONEST webmaster).
It makes me sick how many of these porn “agents” totally take advantage of their talent that THEY are supposed to be working FOR (not the other way around).
At this point in the game, a lot of girls in porn technically DO have grounds to take many of these agents to court for the BS that they’re pulling.

A very WELL KNOWN female porn star started her company a couple of years ago. Someone, hopefully it was her, purchased the domain for the new company two years ago. She still has no website up and the page is a parked domain. But she has her videos listed as coming from her company ______ . So I’m like WTF and why no website. At least have ‘Coming Soon’ up.
