A Manhattan judge has tossed prostitution charges against a porn star accused of trying to sell sex to an undercover cop.
But Alexia Moore’s victory may be a loss for her fans – she vowed to find another line of work.
"Something with animals," she said outside court Tuesday. "A normal job."
The lap dancer and X-rated actress – whose real name is Cassandra Malandri – was accused of offering a cop a threesome with fellow stripper Falynn Rodriguez for $5,000.
After testimony, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge ShawDya Simpson threw out out the case against Rodriguez last week. Malandri, who testified that she only teased the officer and never made a sex-for-money deal, was acquitted Tuesday.
"The court finds the defendant not guilty," Simpson announced. The 26-year-old embraced her lawyers and shared hugs and kisses with her unnamed fiancé. "I knew that I did nothing wrong," she said later.
"I knew justice would be seen."
The salacious trial was a rarity because prostitution cases typically get pleaded out. But both strippers, who were busted June 2008 in the Hot Lap Dance Club, refused a no-jail offer.
Their former boss Louis (Big Lou) Posner – whose trial for running a hooker ring is set for April 1 – sat in court Tuesday and appeared satisfied with the outcome.
"We knew the verdict is going to go out way," said Malandri’s lawyer, Salvatore Strazzullo. "She wants to go on with her life."
