I want to thank everybody that came down to our Flight Attendants/Heaven & Hell Halloween bash in Hollywood Saturday night. I thought it was one of our better parties as all 6 party areas were filled with plenty of beautiful girls including the tented areas. The Fire Marshall shut the place down around midnight and wouldn’t let anybody else in when we got to 950 count then I think some girl got naked and he started letting more girls in lol.
There were a ton of new girls that I don’t know their names having a fantastic time and I want to thank the cute newbie that bumped into me on her way out of the bathroom as she bragged to her girlfriend that she just got banged in the butt. I wonder if she tipped the bathroom attendant. Now that’s one hell of a Halloween memory.

Good point Larry Horse — as until you said it, I hadn’t put it together that ‘Jeff Mullen’ is ‘Will Ryder’.
That is lame, as typically when a porn director goes under a second alias (as their first is from their real name), it’s because they want to do something radically different. For example, feature director Alex DeRenzy did hardcore gonzo under the name Rex Borsky and Mason softens her hardcore hijinks under the name Sam No. Yet Mullen dishes out the same lukewarm pile of nonsense under the name Will Ryder…poser wannabe.
Actually I will tell you why there are two names for me. First of all it was always just a fun, goofy idea so I’m not sure why some of you are player hating but I can’t stop what you think and write (I actually enjoy reading it so keep it coming). When I first got in this business back in 2001 I was a marketing guy working with Scott Taylor at New Sensations and used my real name. About a year later I started All Media Play in Hollywood. I had 17 marketing clients including New Sensations, Digital Sin, Hustler, VCA, Smash Pictures, Sin City, SexZ Pictures, Lethal Hardcore, SugarDVD and a whole bunch more including individual girls like Sunny Lane and Hillary Scott. We were a very busy company.
In 2005 I wanted to once again try to direct movies and produce projects and felt that it would be best to create a directing name or persona other than my real name so that I didn’t cross the lines with my clients. In other words keep both of those businesses completely separate because one really had nothing to do with the other. I really had no idea that my other company X-Play would go on to create some of the biggest selling movies in recent adult history. It was a fluke and really not something we planned. Now I am stuck with two names because most know me as Jeff but my movies are associated with Will Ryder as the director. Many of you complain as you say I am tired…maybe. Not original?… maybe. Not creative?… some may think so (Many think completely the opposite- Ask the retailers). Profitable?…holy hell yes. Having fun?…without a doubt.
We have a lot of fun with our companies (my business partner Scott David also owns a number of other businesses including restaurants and hair salons) and anybody that comes and hangs out with us or even attends our big parties knows that we don’t take ourselves too seriously and just have a lot of fun. Our Flight Attendants Halloween bash was just a fun-as-hell night and you were all invited. Life is short but my middle name is Will and I Will Ryder. Now how can you possibly take that seriously? Lol.
Good on ya, Will… or Jeff. It’s all about having fun and making money. If you’re happy, then who cares what people think.

Let me get this straight, you were concerned that the PORN people you were helping to market, might feel there was a conflict of interest, if you were also directing PORN. As how could one simultaneously market porn and create porn…because as you assert, “one really had nothing to do with the other”.
It’s a good thing you lucked into a profitable fluke, as that’s just about the dumbest statement I’ve heard come out of Porn Valley today.

Tax and legal reasons to keep two business separate has little to do with why you have two alias.
