We know that those who engage in adultery bring ruin to their families and their own lives. Most are also aware that those who engage in homosexual relationships cut their lifespans nearly in half of what it should be.
A study of 6,714 obituaries from sixteen United States homosexual journals conducted by Paul Cameron and his colleagues in 1993, found that the mortality rate of homosexual men dying of AIDS to be 39 years of age and gays not dying of AIDS to be only three years longer at 42. Tragically, the study found that gays die:
• 10 times more often in accidents
• 17 times more frequently in traffic
• 26 times more often from suicide
• 87 times more from murder
• 23 times more often from heart attacks (compared to white men aged 25-44)
The median age of death among lesbians is not much better and was reported to be 45 years-of-age.
Even if we choose to ignore this study and go with the more conservative figures of The International Journal of Epidemiology, we find there is not much of a difference. The journal reported that those who engage in homosexual behavior before the age 20 can expect to have their mortality rate reduced by as much as 30 years.
The tragic and alarming early death syndrome that we find among those who choose to live a homosexual lifestyle is not due exclusively to a plethora of STD’s as the data cited above indicates.
The American College of Pediatricians cites studies that have found that, "Violence among homosexual partners is two to three times more common than among married heterosexual couples." Homosexual couples have by far and away the highest rate of domestic violence in the nation with the most brutal occurring among lesbians.
Domestic violence among traditional married couples occurs at less than 5% each year. However, domestic violence occurs disproportionately at an alarming rate of 50% among lesbian relationships.
Susan Holt, coordinator of the domestic violence unit of the Los Angeles Gay Lesbian Center, lamented that "domestic violence is the third largest health problem facing the gay and lesbian community today and trails only behind AIDS and substance abuse… in terms of sheer numbers and lethality" Ending the cycle of domestic violence. The facts bear out powerful testimony to the truth of Holy Scripture and that marriage is to be experienced within the loving boundaries of one husband and one wife. While traditional, biblically based marriages have proven to have the lowest rate of domestic violence they also prove to provide improved health, prolonging life and are the best context in which to raise children.
The Surgeon General warns smokers on every pack of cigarettes about the health hazards of smoking; yet, are we so callous as to not warn those we claim to love about the tragic cost of sexual sin??
Add to this the far graver fact that those who engage in sexual sin, whether it be heterosexual adultery or homosexuality, that they are warned emphatically by the Lord that they will not inherit the kingdom of God:
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." “1 Corinthians 6:9-10
God’s Word warns repeatedly that those who engage in sexual sin will be subjected to horrifying diseases for rebelling against the Holy institution of marriage and His plan for the family:
"God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." Hebrews 13:4b
"It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality…. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit." Thessalonians 4:3, 6b-8
Since God is good and righteous, He has moral laws that reflect His holy nature. When we rebel against these laws, we reap the appropriate consequences. We should not dare in our limited brain capacity to tell God who created the universe and gave us life, how He should rule in the affairs of men. If God did not have moral laws and if there weren’t consequences to those laws, humanity would destroy itself in a matter of days. Just think what would happen to the world if every criminal was let out of prison and told he could do whatever he pleased without any consequence or punishment for his crimes. The Holy Scriptures teach that those who sin sexually, actually sin against their own bodies and destroy themselves:
"But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself." –Proverbs 6:32
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." –1 Cor. 6:18-20

This crap is based on the same old Holier-than-thou, Our shit don’t stink, Christian Bullshit of a “Superior Moral Foundation” and a “God-Given Moral Compass”
They are quick to point out that the Bible says Homosexuality is an abomination but like to forget that it ranks right up there with eating ham or shellfish or wearing clothes made out of two different fibers to temple. All “Abominations” as well.
They like to remember all the parts about Homosexuality but seem to forget LOTS of parts that might be much more important to their quest to be “Jesus Like”. Parts like Matthew 19:21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
There’s an awful lot of rich Christians out there! WAY too many for all those that claim to be “True Christians”
Christians NEED a demon to fight. It’s part of what makes them Christian. Their hate unites them. If it wasn’t Homosexuality it would be something like , say, Booze! And we’d end up changing the constitution, and throwing the country into a downward cycle of corruption, deaths, organized crime, billions of wasted dollars all to accommodate a bunch of loud-mouthed fundamentalists. Oh yeah! We did that with the Prohibition. A FUCKING DISASTER for this country! So bad even the Fundamentalists called for repealing it! Did they admit they were wrong, no.

1) The LEAST religious Countries are the MOST Peaceful in the world
2) The Divorce rate among Atheists is the LOWEST in the Nation with the HIGEST being among Fundamentalist Christians
3) The Christian Abortion Rate is as high as the National average with the Catholic rate even HIGHER! – “young unmarried women graduating from private religious schools are actually more likely to get abortions than their secular counterparts”
4) Atheists are the LEAST REPRESENTED group in the Nation’s Prisons (In Ratio), they supply LESS THAN 1% (0.21%) Christians, however, are THE MOST REPRESENTED (In Ratio) with Catholics at approximately 39% Protestants at 35% filled out further with the other Christian Denominations and Minority Religions.
5) “Red States”, those that vote consistently with the Conservative Republican/Right Wing/Christian Fundamentalist agendas and the areas highest in concentrations of those with declared Christian beliefs, purchase THE MOST Online PORN!

Religions and the religious, while claiming the moral high-ground, have a long list of transgressions of morality. Throughout history and today immoral acts of every kind and severity have been and are carried out “In The Name Of” their religion and many, many more “In Spite Of” their religion. The numerous examples of record establish a true picture that serves to significantly dilute any claims of “Superior Morality” due to a “Foundational Moral Grounding” or “Moral Compass” that one can only get from a god. The message that morality comes from a god and a religion and that non-theists are immoral, taught at the pulpit as a statement of fact, is completely spurious. One only needs to go back through the history books and scan the modern media to ascertain the veracity of this claim.

In the past few decades we have seen thousands of examples of the failure of religion’s so-called “Superior Moral Foundation” or “Moral Compass”
• The thousands of cases of Child Molestation by Priests and Pastors
• The subsequent cover-up perpetrated by the Catholic Church with full knowledge and complicity at the highest levels including the Pope
• The thousands of reported thefts of funds from churches by the Clergy
• Reports of sexual misconduct of Priests and Pastors
• The frauds committed by Televangelists on a consistent basis
• The Scandals of Sex, Money and Hypocrisy most notably Ted Haggard, Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Paul Crouch, Peter Popov, Todd Bently, Kent Hovind, Lonnie Latham, Richard Roberts and most recently Father Alberto Cutie, etc.
• The similar Scandals of Pro-Christian/Pro-Family Values Senators and Congressmen again most notably Gov. Sanders, Sen Paul Stanley, Sen. John Ensign, Sen. David Vitter, Sen Larry Craig, Congressman Bob Livingston, Congressman Mark Foley, Congressman Tim Mahoney, Sen Bob Packwood and even Democratic Christians Pres. Bill Clinton, Sen. John Edwards etc.

Throughout history Christianity, has proven itself to be Murderous, Torturous, Violent, Deceitful, Intolerant, Divisive, Judgmental, Forcible, Intrusive and against this country’s basic principles of Freedom and one’s most basic right to their individual pursuit of happiness. We have seen:
• Centuries of Wars, Holy Wars, Crusades and Inquisitions as tools of FORCED CONVERSION.
• Genocides and cultural/ethnic (religious) cleansings
• The brutal conquest of the indigenous peoples of the Americas
• Southern Christians fought to keep their slaves citing the Bible as their justification.
• The mistreatment of the “Freed Slaves” highlighted by the formation of the KKK with its terror, murders and hangings
• The Catholic Church aligning itself with the Nazis and doing nothing to stop the Holocaust
• Sectarian and denominational fighting including violence against the “Heretics” such as Burning at the stake, Beheadings and various other torturous executions
These are just a few examples. The list is long. Add to it the list of atrocities that even if not done directly “In the name of Christ” were carried out by the religious IN SPITE of their religion and its supposed superior moral guidance and foundation.
I don’t know who wrote this “Reader Email” but I will say that those that question the morality of others usually are the ones that end up in embarrassing news stories and I wouldn’t be shocked if this asshole wasn’t a hypocrite of Haggardesk Proportions!
Being gay is NOT a choice! It took these morons 400 years to apologize to Galileo, someday the gay population will receive an apology as well.

Ray Put it out there well enough that all I Have to add is that TOO MANY Religions try to Decipher What GOD Wants and then Impose thier Beliefs of what they have deciphered on other people.
NO ONE KNOWS What GOD Wants..NO ONE.
I think that Organized Religion is a Way that People use GOD to Control other people and If they spent more energy in thier WORSHIP as they do trying to Impose thier Beliefs maybe GOD(The REAL One) might reward them with Better Karma.
