PHOENIX (June 2) – Phoenix police say a man was arrested after he sexually assaulted his girlfriend while she was passed out and broadcast the attack live on the Internet.
A probable-cause statement says 20-year-old Jonathan Richard Hock was arrested Monday on two counts of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of taking a surreptitious photo.
The court document said Hock set up a computer Web camera and sexually assaulted a woman he knew in her bedroom as she was unconscious from drinking Feb. 26.
The woman, who had been drinking, was asleep four to five hours when Hock allegedly raped her, reported Phoenix television station KPHO.
According to The Arizona Republic, the victim learned what happened when friends sent her text messages about the video.
A request with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to interview Hock was not immediately returned. It was unclear whether he had a lawyer.
The site where the video had been posted provided a copy to police. Officials said Hock is popular on the site because of his sexual behavior, according to the newspaper, and there may be other victims.
