NL-In Answer to Devon’s post about her experience on the Baha set, I have this from a person who worked on that set. I do not have his permission to use his name, but he says he is a Shane’s World Employee
Now the truth: I do hate hearing this type of shit for many reasons.
1. being that I consider Jack Venice a friend, now no one really knows what happened up there but him and the other guy who got in trouble & the chick. Jack was a very lighthearted, easy go lucky guy. The one thing everyone forgets wether you like him or not he did find Alexis Texas, Rachel Starr & Rachel Roxxx (so you gotta like one of them)
2nd is that I like Devon, she was always very cool to me (Shot her in Baja, for web content, for other people after her contract was up) but as far as her being raped? Are you fucking kidding me? I was on that Baja trip and she might actually think that because of the amount of pills she was on.
Watch the movie, if you cant tell then you might be high. I think you see her with her tooth brush halfway down her throat at some point. I just hate this shit, its not fair to say shit about someone who cant defend himself, wether you like him or not. Just not cool. Why wait till now to come out with this? If it was something like that, just convienient I guess.
That and a lack of stuff to talk about, and on myspace? Come on. Feel like some one has to set the record straight.
So a friend of Jack Venice is defending Jack Venice? And why should anything they say be believed? They’re all friends with a convicted rapist. And this person also works for Shane’s World who can be sued for all the crimes that have been claimed to have happen on their sets. The only reason they weren’t sued by the college student Jack raped is because Jack drove 300 miles away from the Shane’s World set to rape that girl.
And who gives a shit who Jack brought into porn? Alexis Texas bailed out a rapist while Hanna Hilton stayed with that rapist till his conviction. Doesn’t say much about those two.
Credibility is a two way street. Devon has burned so many bridges over the years and shown herself to untrustworthy, unreliable, and generally a flake that taking her word for something of this magnitude requires blinders the size of Brooklyn.
Heck, she could have made the accusation during Venice’s rape trial had she really believed it and she’d have been given the kid glove treatment but here we are nearly three years later (2006 to 2009) getting yet another pity party story from someone that few have heard of in the interim. Given the amount of gossiping in the porn world, it is VERY unlikely that something like this happened and no one said shit about it for this long.
Why shouldn’t Devon be believed but a convicted rapist should?
If she came out during the trial, many would have accused her of taking advantage of the situation and wanting publicity.
Doesn’t Rick Shameless write that blog? A few years ago, Luke wrote about how he was shooting stills for another video company and got caught slipping his own model releases into the paperwork so he could sell the stills for his own purposes. This was when he was married to Tory Lane. For that reason, I don’t consider him to be very credible.
No one really knows the exact story, but I wouldn’t be surprised if something was done to Devon by Jack; maybe Devon will write in and tell what led up to and what happened during and after the alleged attack.
A porn performer makes an easy sexual assault victim, because very few will ever report anything due to the nature of their work. I don’t automatically believe every story I hear, but this sort of thing does make my ears perk up. Unlike many in this industry, I do not think that what Jack did in WA is ‘OK’ on any level. It is not harmless to break into houses, fondle a sleeping person, and take items that do not belong to you. He may have been a nice guy, but so was serial killer Ted Bundy.
Rape is not about sex, it is about power and Jack was moving up the Shane’s World food chain. He later got his own video series and was in the process of shooting for his Shane’s World backed website. I do not think that Devon would have had the mental fortitude to report the crime and deal with the fallout (she has never looked like she enjoyed doing porn and looked deeply depressed during her last AVN appearance).
Rape, child molestation, and other he said, she said crimes can rarely ever be proved. You cant prove what happened between 2 people when they were the only witnesses to the crime. Somehow I dont think most women, who run the risk of being killed, or raped by the many less than savory men they run into on a daily basis typically decide to sully the reputations of good men by falsely accusing them. And when a woman that had recently left Digital Playground, and did not fired, and had been in the biggest selling porn film of all time, to sign with a small company, says that she was raped on the set, somehow I just dont think she is lying.
What does Devon really have to gain by lying about this? It really doesn’t help her career to go public with a rape allegation. An anonymous friend of the rapist says he’s a good guy and she’s a flake and we’re supposed to accept that as fact? That’s ridiculous.

So what you’re telling everybody is that as an employee of Shanes World you knew that this person was under the influence of drugs, had drugs on a SHanes World set, and was so fucked up that she wouldnt even know if she was raped or not. You even state that all you have to do is watch the movie and it is easy to see she is on drugs.
Very nice of you to write something on a public forum that says your company will not only tolerate illegal drug use on their sets, but they will HIRE and shoot content with people who under the influence of drugs.
That is some really good p.r. for your company. I’m sure the owners of shanes world appreciate you letting the world know that they will hire druggies and allow drugs on their sets. Good job.

Was Devon sexually abused as a kid?
She seems to be like that type of sex worker. And often the take a huge amount of abuse and degradation before they wake up. Maybe she cannot not take it anymore and her inner rage is starting to come out.
Her reputation as flake, a stoner and a drunk might be signs of some internal turmoil. To actually take a stand and say things might be healing. And a measure of desperation and rage.
Lets point out a few things here:
1. Jack Venice was convicted of 2cd degree Rape. Second degree rape is anything going in an unwanted orafice. Sticking my finger in your nose is 2cd degree rape.
2. No one notice the pattern? This is the 2cd time Devon has claimed rape after leaving a company. She also claims her anal scene at DP was rape. Basically you have 2 companies that arn’t going to just come out and say … “we stopped shooting her because she was too fucked up on drugs” and then she claims i was raped and “wont work for them”. Hmmmm
3. Everyone can watch the so called rape happen. Anyone watch her scene with Jack Venice in Devon does Baja? No amount of fancy editing could cut out the look on someones face if they were truly being raped. Actually most reviews claim it to be one of her better scenes and that she looked to be enjoying herself.
4. There were WAY too many people on that trip that if this had happened … that the whole world wouldnt know about it and the company would have done something.
5. Devons situation is sad. I think everyone who knows her feels bad for her. She is a sweet girl who has no idea how to conduct her life. She goes from suitcase pimp boyfriend to suitcase pimp boyfriend, cancels scenes for privates, takes so many pills it’s hard to get her to foucs let alone show up to set. her cell phone is turned off every few weeks due to non-payment. She is beautiful has a big name and for all the years in the biz has ZERO to show for it. Sadly this is just another cry for help from her … and i do really hope she gets it.
6. I get very upset when girls claim rape if it is not 120% truth. That is a very serious allegation that deserves swift recourse!! But when they use it as another excuse to get more money from whatever sugar daddy they have this week, way to explain their hiatus AKA marathon of privates and drug use and to get sympathy … it enrages me and makes the woman of this world who have actually had something horrible done to them more afraid to come forward.
I personally know all 8 people who were on that trip. I also know Devon very well.
I will her a path in life. One without drugs, one where she respects herself, one where she stops using men and tries to actually stand on her own two feet. I wish her hapiness. I wish her a life worth living!
My two cents is that with conjecture aside regarding the character of either person, an estimated 16 percent of rapes get reported to police and of those about 10 percent are fabricated. I’m hard pressed to think that the 84% of women who get raped and do not report it write a myspace blog about it 2 years later. If she worked after that it makes it more suspect.

I have women tell me in private, often as an angry slip up that they were rapes or molestation.
The same women that would never acknowledge in public those.

After Stefani Morgan went to the police and they did nothing, she also went to her Myspace and ADT and other places and told in detail what was done to her that night and after that night.
Everyone in the public eye has a Myspace or has someone else run it for them. They also release news threw it every day. So why wouldn’t a rape victim go to her Myspace and say what was done to her when all other avenues have been used?

Darrah, as much as I hate to engage myself in this futile discussion, but I must answer your question with a question: why do you feel so compelled to believe any and all allegations of molestation and rape, regardless of how implausible, ironic and redundant they might be, why do you take any said and written word for the face value, and how can you call yourself a blogger and journalist while you do little or nothing to fully exam, investigate and understand the subject of your speculation?
As for the credibility of a report about a serious incident like rape on a ridiculus place like a MySpace page two years after the fact and exactly when Devon is planning a come back and desperately needs attention and publicity, well let’s just say the facts speak for themselves. There is the posibility she might be lying or just is true and since she is mentally ill based in all the account of her behavior in her long career, she have cried wolf too long so her credibility is compromised.
Whore love attention, that does not means they always lie to get it.
Did she or didn’t she? No one really knows at this point but automatically believing she did based solely on her own limited account is akin to proving what people say about porners. No one gets blacklisted in porn and frankly, given the way in which SW has burned so many bridges in the past, I seriously doubt anyone backing up Kristie’s story would find themselves any worse for wear in terms of being hired by the multitude of companies that produce more than a handful of titles a year. Read a few of the reviews to see what others have said about the trip to Baja title, I was certainly not alone in pointing out it was one of her better works in a long time; Devon as the aggressor IIRC (and yes, with Venice).
Had he raped her, I don’t think that would have taken place and if he did, she would have told someone rather than start rumors about it (no one in porn shied away from working with Venice after the shoot, ladies telling me to my face that they thought he was “hot”).

Mexican courts are less predisposed to finding guilt based solely on self inflicted drug use than you seem to think. If that’s the best you can do (claiming Devon’s self medicating ways were any less consensual than the rest of the crew), you might want to go back to claiming you believe her because “stuff like this happens all the time” (regardless of proof in this case).
