TAMPA – Max Hardcore wants to go to Vegas before he goes to prison.
Paul Little, also known as Max Hardcore, has been ordered to report to a federal prison in Los Angeles on Jan. 29 to begin serving a 46-month prison sentence he received in federal court here in October.
Little, who lives in California, was convicted by a Tampa federal jury of 10 obscenity charges for adult videos he made, starred in and sold over the Internet and through the mail. A judge allowed him to remain free on bail and surrender to federal marshals once a prison is designated.
Under the terms of his bail, Little cannot travel without permission of the court.
His attorneys filed a motion today asking that he be given permission to drive to the Adult Entertainment Expo, starting tomorrow and running until Sunday. The motion describes the expo as the annual trade show for the adult entertainment industry, which Little has attended for the past 15 years.
"The defendant is need to so to complete transactions with other members of the adult entertainment business that would allow him to have the financial ability and arrangements to pay the $75,000.00 corporate fine and to otherwise secure his financial matters while he is away serving his sentence," the motion states.
A federal prosecutor was notified and didn’t object to the request, according to the motion.
