Feature Entertainer Agent Dave Michaels writes-
Setting the record straight
First of all, Mika, you absolutely did agree to do that gig and NEVER told me otherwise. You just disappeared*.
Anyone in this business that matters knows better. My reputation and record stand for themselves; ask Stormy, Jesse, Janine, Sunny, or the other dozens of stars that I work for day in and day out.
And I wasn’t "fired from Lee Network". Get your facts straight before you look stupid and desperate for attention. I simply wanted to branch out on my own after working for others for over a decade in this industry.
My new company, A-List Features, is going great! I still represent the same "a-list" talent and then some, as well as having a fantastic stable of the best gentlemen’s clubs in the country.
For clubs looking to book the top entertainers on the road today, please go to www.alistfeatures.com to see for yourselves why I named the company what I did!
*Just like you disappeared on the Crazy Horse in San Francisco last year after advertising was in place.
Good to hear your side of it Dave. I would NOT want your job man. Booking flaky chicks to fly around the country, show up somewhere on time and do their job? Now YOU Dave, have a mucho stressful job. How often do they not show up at all?
Hello, Dave:
(1) I absolutely did verbally agree in May, but when I got the course schedule, I realized I could not skip classes at all that week. Deny all you want, I have phone records of me calling your number to tell you so back in June. I am a lot of things, but I do not mess around with money and certainly not with a club that treated me so well in the past.
(2) You are very busy and talk to many different women all the time. Perhaps in your transition which happens to be the same time as when we were talking, you skipped over the original voicemail. In mid-June, I reiterated this in a phone conversation when you kept asking for the contract and I told you I could not agree to it.
(3) Calm down and stop being defensive. I never said you were fired. If you read my blog, it plainly states: “I just found out that Dave of Lee Network no longer works there. He was fired or resigned (not sure) back in June.” You may be used to women who crave attention, but seriously, me not being able to agree to do a gig should not be construed as a cry for attention. That is just plain ridiculous.
I told you I was working and going to school & midweek dance gigs were not possible. I told you I could not work the gig a month in advance, never signed the contract and didn’t “disappear”, I simply stopped returning your threatening calls June through July. Continually demanding “You better show because they advertised!” is not compelling enough for me to skip classes. I did not do anything wrong and do not respond to threats.
Let’s just chalk it up to “poor communication” and stop this silly pissing contest. I was merely sending out an apology to the fans and friends who were expecting me in Florida when I was not contractually bound to be there. I am sorry you have to eat crow for advertising me without a signed contract and I understand you must defend your flourishing agency, but if it makes you feel better, I will eat some crow with you, because it is apparent that I did not make myself clear enough. So long as it is not fried, I can totally eat crow. I only reduced beef and pork from my regular diet. We are all good for poultry…
We may have caused irreparable damage to our professional relationship, but I hold no ill-will and wish you only the best.
P.S.
I spoke with Crazy Horse-SF and there was never a time when I did not show up for a contracted gig.
I realize you are speaking out of anger/embarassment and want to save face, but YOU ARE NOW GETTING INTO THE REALM OF SLANDER, DAVE.
Mika, I appreciate your first letter, very professional and nice. I would love to end this stupid waste of time. But as to the Crazy Horse cancellation, you’re very forgetful. You were supposed to have done a duo gig with Lucy Lee On July 26, 2007. You no-showed the job. Old shit – I don’t care, but I don’t like lies being thrown around about me. Whoever you spoke with at the Crazy Horse is wrong, ask Myron the GM.
I wish you no ill-will either, just for this to stop. I’m pretty sure you have more important things to do, I know I do.
