Frederick Douglass is an American abolitionist, editor, orator, author, statesman and reformer. Called "The Sage of Chatsworth" and "The Lion of Van Nuys," Douglass is one of the most prominent figures in Porn-American history, and one of the most influential lecturers and authors in American history. His towering posture showes dignity and strength, and when he speaks, his baritone voice is powerful. These features together give Douglass a strong presence. He is a firm believer in the equality of all people, whether black, female, American Indian, or recent immigrant. Douglass devotes his life to advocating the brotherhood of all humankind. He is fond of saying, "I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong."
Just a reminder to all CONTENT PRODUCERS, DISTRIBUTORS, and LAWYERS attending the Round Table discussion.
The meeting is set for 7pm at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City, where Webmaster Access is held each year. There will be signs as to which ballroom they are giving us. There will be food and beverages, but no booze. There will be a registration table and a security. Again, lets be clear, if you are not one of the three above, they will not let you in. Many have RSVP’d, and you may do so in this thread. I will be around the table offering my assistance as well.
For press: At 8:30 you are free to talk to the attendees in the corridor outside of the ballroom at your leisure.
We’ve got a very nice group of people pre-rsvp’d, so lets cross our fingers that we can even get everyone there. That’s half the battle. My job is nearly done.
***SPECIAL NOTE***
I will not be MCing anything as I have heard here and there. It was my job to promote this, which is what I do. It is my job to keep an eye on the formation of some sort of an association, if it even gets that far, I too still have my doubts, but I am positive something positive will come out of this regardless of what it is. You guys know me, no bullshit, straight from the hip. I am looking forward to hopefully turning around some of the inability to unite on important issues that has plagued this industry for so long. We’re giving people the opportunity to address the issues and the forum to work collectively to help combat the problems as they exist. We all understand that there is no silver bullet, and that we all must continue to adapt, those are givens. In tandem, we must address those that take advantage and if nothing more, limit the availability of our wares for free out there.
