Former escort service owner sentenced to prison

(AP)

BOISE — A Boise escort service owner could spend as many as seven years in prison following his conviction for using his business as a front for running a prostitution ring.

Chris Teague, owner of the now-defunct AAA Anytime escort service, was sentenced Wednesday in 4th District Court. He must spend at least two years in prison before he’s eligible for parole, and pay a $100,000 fine.

Prosecutors in Ada County had asked for a 20-year sentence with five-year minimum confinement.

Teague’s lawyer said he had hoped for significantly less.

  1. Is it only that there’s more reports about this these days or are they really doing something more about it?It was/is so obvious that prostitution is everywhere in the U.S. even tough it’s supposely illegal.I guess it’s like illegal immigration. They make laws but it’s just empty.

  2. In prostitution, gambling, drugs, inmigration, the law is a instrument of the state to administrate power in a discretionary way. They often allow a pimp, coyote or pusher to rise and them when he comes to notorious and start to visible undermine the authority of law enforcement, he is cut down and another coleague will take his place. That happened to Al Capone, to Pablo Escobar, to Heidi Fleiss and no doubt, now that porn star escorting is too open, and some pimps brag about how “untouchable” they are because they have made favors to people in LA City Hall and in the Gov, is going to happen to well known porn pimps. Of course, the process will start all over againg with new actors. Again, again and again. Is about power and control from the state.
