I met Sierra Sinn last week and she is precious! I met her through myspace and she agreed to let me come to her home and visit with her. She shared with me how she came from a violent childhood and moved around a lot as a child and that she began stripping at a young age which ultimately led her to acting in porn movies. Sierra admitted to me that porn shattered her life and that she wants out. She also has a five year old daughter who doesn’t live with her and she wants so much to be with her again. While I was at Sierra’s, she showed me her amazing creativity. She has this awesome talent to create braided shirts. You can check this video out of a shirt she braided and also notice the white shirt she is wearing. She made that herself out of a plain white t-shirt!
She blew my mind how fast she was able to braid a shirt. I asked her what she would like to do with her life and she says she would love to start a t-shirt company. I suggested that design school would be great for her and she agreed. She is a very hard worker and just wants a different option in life other than porn.
After Sierra and I spent time together, she called me a few days later and told me she just can’t do porn anymore and even cleaned up her myspace and let her fans know. This is NOT easy for Sierra and so she will need our support and love through this. Please leave encouraging comments to Sierra at this blog. The porn industry will probably lash out at her for this so let’s make sure we stand with her as she courageously leaves porn!

Please pray for Sierra that God would provide for her in ways that are above and beyond all she could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Please also pray for Sierra’s daughter and that she will soon be reuinted with her.

The demons that let the girls into the industry will not go away when they choose to quit. They might need psychological, financial and legal help. Their clothes and photos might be inappropriate for a civilian job, they will need somewhere to live, driving lessons, the couching of ex-whores about becoming a civilian. They need jobs and very important for a porn girl who tend to have attention seeking personalities, lots of praise and encouragement, myspace friends, forums, chats and blog fans. A gray 9 to 5 job will not provide that. A religion might. So I wish Ms Sierra good luck in her daunting task. i don´t know about saving her soul but for sure she might, if sucessful, save her life.

Compadre, you are right in part, I guess the cards were turned against Sierra long ago. Even before she started to do drugs or porn. I´m curious to know how her childhood really was. And never discard genetics, some addictive behaviors might be in the person DNA. But doing sex work either in porn or privates will add heavy stresses that makes drug habits worse.
I think that the porn industry should try to develop a profile of the girls who are profesional, reasonably level headed and sucessful in the business to avoid trainwrecks. If porn want to be taken as a legitimate industry it should have some kind of personnel policy beyond glorified pimping.
true porn could use more organization and retirement plans. i just hate how people act like porn creates problems when it just feeds them but so does working at a bar or club. i was a bouncer for a few years and let me tell ya i saw some fucked up in the head men, women and relationships because of that atmosphere. you can take any profession and show drug and alcohol use. when i graduated out of high school i worked in a machine shop and those guys literally had thier coronas open at 5 when they got off shift. i was stunned that they brought that shit to work couldnt even wait till they got home and i was thinkin “is this what i want to be some beer-bellied old man who cant wait till 5pm to crack open a brew”. addiction is just that addiction it doesnt only go after a specific job. same thing with sex abuse pornstars get paid for what they do but there are chicks out there who were molested who sleep with all thier coworkers at walmart. i do limited work in the adult area but i do it for the money. i also work outside of the industry cause of the money. if some porn company affered me $120k a year i would take the job but if home depot offered me $120k a year and i didnt have time to any porn related work i would be fine with that too.
