Katja Kassin Loves America

She posts on ADT:

You guys think that America is the most judgmental and racist place in the world. But have you ever lived in Europe? You guys think in America racism is a big problem, maybe it is but it’s also true that in America people are used to live with each other, having different ethnic backgrounds.
I remember how hard it was when I was 18 dating an Italian guy. People were looking at me like I should go to hell. I can only imagine what they’d look like if I had been with a black guy. In Germany, at least where I come from, there are only German people, nobody else. And the very few that are not German have it very difficult. I love the ethnic diversity in America. The many different backgrounds, stories, opinions, cultures, ways of living your life. And even if some people don’t agree with what I do I still don’t feel singled out because there’s just such a large variety in people. It makes me comfortable.
Just because sex work is pretty much legal, doesn’t mean people accept it.
All my friends and people I knew hate me now – not so much because I do porn, but because I live in the capitalist America and because I make good money. They hate me because I just do whatever I think I wanna do and I don’t give a shit. They hate me because I had the guts to pack up my stuff and leave where they will always be stuck with the same old shit but all they do is bitch and cry about it.

This is my personal experience from my life knowing the people I know and living in Eastern Germany. I’m not saying this is anything more than my personal report about what I’ve been through and what I experienced.

The ones that have been following my career and have been reading my comments on this board know that I tried to get into porn in Germany and Europe but I was rejected many, many times because they didn’t like my big ass and my looks in general. It’s many different reasons why I now live in the US: personal, financial, professional reasons plus the weather is much nicer in California.

I always felt like my home town with half a million people living there was too tight for me. I always wanted to go far away, since I was 12 years old. But that’s pretty much in my nature and doesn’t have so much to do with anything else. Sometimes you just can’t stand staying in the same place for all your life.
