Frank Barbarino, a pornographer and friend to various members of organized crime, owns with Kevin Beechum the printing house FB Productions in Chatsworth, the world center of the porn industry.

Barbarino hit the headlines of various Los Angeles papers in July of 1995 when he was appointed by Mayor Richard Riordan to a city task force to make city government friendlier to the printing industry.

YYY Porner says 5/01: Tommy Sinnopoli used to hang out with Rubin Gottesman and his son-in-law Jimmy Marzullo. But they lost everything. Jimmy got beat up by Frank Barbarino's guys Ryan and Bogie. Frank Barbarino owns the printing place FB Productions with Kevin Beechum. He does boxcovers for everybody. Barbarino hangs out with a captain in the LA family named Lou Caruso. They work out all the time at that gym off DeSoto called Power House. They eat with Kevin Beechum at an Italian deli near work.

LOUIE CARUSO was close with another made guy TOMMY GAMBINO. Tommy`s dad was part of the Pizza Connection Case. He is in Terminal Island FCI. Tommy and his brother hung with Joe Isgro before he went to Jail.

Louie Caruso runs an air conditioing business near FB Productions. If you can find out from anyone in the Los Angeles Organized Crime squad about the sit down at the Sportsman's Lodge, there is lots of stuff there.

Journalist John L. Smith writes for LasVegas.com 10/19/00: "Los Angeles mob sources report the death on Friday of Milano family street captain Luigi Gelfuso. He was 75. Cause of death: heart attack. Gelfuso's demise, coupled with the incarceration of Lou Caruso and Rocky Zangari, and house arrest status in Palm Springs of Jimmy Caci, by my count leaves the Milano family without a street-level organizer. Some of those names will sound familiar to followers of the federal case involving the murder of mob figure Herbie Blitzstein."

Having pledged to make Los Angeles friendlier to business, Mayor Richard Riordan is facing criticism from some women's rights advocates who say his administration went too far in reaching out to a company that prints packaging for adult films.

Riordan invited Frank Barbarino, whose company FB Productions of Chatsworth prints fliers and video box covers for X-rated movies, to participate in a city task force to make city government friendlier to the printing industry.

The Mayor's Office has begun talks with Barbarino to see if the city can provide assistance for his firm to expand.

Barbarino called the criticism of his participation on the task force "unfair," because only about 10 percent of the company's business involves printing for X-rated materials.

Barbarino said the bulk of his company's work is printing packaging for cosmetic, food and electronic products. He said his company is not involved in the production of pornography, and instead takes film provided by the adult film companies and prints it for the video boxes.

"Certain people think we make the movies and our competitors use that as an edge against us," Barbarino said. "We're just a commercial printing operation."

He said FB Productions plans to cease printing the packaging of X-rated materials by the end of this year. "We're getting out of it," he said. "It is legal but I guess we're tired of hearing people say we print adult boxes. It's a public opinion issue."
