Who The Heck Is Flashman? Lauren Montgomery writes: Luke, As of late, a guy going by the handle of "Flashman" has been contacting myself as well as a lot of other young ladies I know in the industry. No one seems to really know who the hell this guy is. I can tell you that all the girls honestly feel a bit concerned. My conversations with him have been very much like a conversation with a used car salesman. He seems to have verbal diarrhea and constantly name drops about things and people I could care less about. Not to mention the fact of telling me that he has spoken to certain girls and booked them on this and that. When I talk to those girls, they have no idea what he is talking about. They have never even met the guy. When I finally did manage to run into him at the XRCO awards, I was quite disturbed by the fact that he would not even look me in the eye. I am quite hesitant to do any sort of business with anyone who talks a lot of bulls--- and won't look you in the eye - what is he hiding? I don't want to sit and "rag" on someone I don't know - maybe he is a really nice guy? - but I really want to know who the hell is "Flashman". There are way too many bad people out there who love to prey on unsuspecting ladies in this industry - hence my protective stance here. Is there anyone out there who I know, love and respect in this industry who can vouch for him? Where did he come from? How long has he been around for? He seems to have just magically surfaced out of nowhere and a few unwary girls have been handing out girls phone numbers without reserve. His presence is concerning me a great deal. If anyone out there can really shine some light on this character for me it would be much appreciated by me and a lot of other female talent. HELP! Luke says: I've been hearing from Flashman for 18 months or so... He's been hanging around the industry for ten plus years... He supposedly gets girls into porn and into strip clubs and magazines... Flashman says: Luke, listen. Being a nice Jewish boy, I am not proud what I am going to tell you. But it is unbelievably exact. I am the number one booker for guys who want to date porn stars. Guys who have a couple of thousand dollars who want a date with the top [porn] girls in the country. Actually, Gene Ross, the last time I talked to him, said, 'Would you just give me the list, Flash, of the girls who've turned you down?' I'll be honest. I think you're just trying to get attention.' Lauren Montgomery writes about the Flashman: Luke, OY VEY! My letter was just a personal observation and I was looking for the opinions of others. Perhaps I got a bit carried away and was a bit verbose myself. I really just wanted some people/companies to step up and vouch for Flashman and say that they do business with him and that he is on the "up and up". Perhaps I misjudged his character and he is just a sweet, however, long winded individual. Flashman and I have since spoken over the phone and are sorting things out. I regret if I caused him any problems with any companies out there. It truly was not my intention. He appears to just be one of those crazy Hollywood characters who love to be in the middle of the whirlwind. And as it turns out, he has been doing some really great stuff for a good girl friend of mine in the business. I spoke with her yesterday. You'll have to forgive my paranoia, but I really have never heard of this guy before. I am definitely not a Who's Who observer. If I know you and I like you cool. I don't care who you know or what you do. It's probably bad for business, but it is just the way I am. And frankly, with the Republicans in office, I am more nervous than ever. 4/13/01 Sky New Playboy Centerfold Flashman says: "Sky just called me from New York City. In nine days, the June Playboy comes out. There's a six page spread and she's the centerfold. One of the first times ever that an X-rated porn star has made the centerfold of Playboy magazine. She's also doing a softdrink [Sobe] commercial. "Her web site is MileSkyClub.com." Sky left this message on Luke's answer machine Thursday night: "Hello Luke F-rd, this is Sky. Sorry I haven't spoken to you in a while. I was just informed that this guy by the name of Flash had posted yesterday on your web site that he is a pimp. And I was also informed today that he said he had spoken to me and he had told the whole world where I am staying. Now I can't believe that you put that on there, first of all. Second of all, everyone knowing where I'm staying is not very safe. Third off, I do not have any affiliation with this guy in any type of way or form. "I do not condone him speaking of me in any type of way at all. He called me yesterday. He had gotten my number from I don't know who, somebody in the industry. And I said, 'I'm sorry. I was trying to find a publicist for mainstream work.' I had nothing else to discuss with him. And the fact that he has put my name on your web site and affiliated myself with him extremely extremely extremely pisses me off. And I did leave him a message because I do have his voicemail. And I said that I did not appreciate that at all and he needs to fix it immediately. And the fact that he is even affiliating himself with me on your website... I'm getting a lot of phone calls and a lot of heat for something that I had nothing to do with. If somebody wants to be a name dropper and use my name like this, it's really pathetic. "So, other than that, I am doing really well. I am coming out in the June issue of Playboy and I can't have anybody like this lowlife trying to affiliate himself with me so that I get in trouble with them." Sky's the official poster girl for Sobe drinks. "I just shot two one-page ads for Maxim magazine for Sobe. "I'm making excellent money. Mainstream pays a lot better. In May I have a lot of meetings with agents. I'll be going on Howard Stern. Maybe you should go with me? I could bring one of my friends but they are a bunch of dummies." Luke: "You've made it big. It's unusual of Playboy to use a porn girl?" Sky: "It's extremely unusual. There's a story going along with my pictures. I got six pages in the center and the story that they're doing along with it talks about sexual fantasies. They are using me as their sex goddess example. So, I'm flattered. "I'm stoked. After you do Playboy, you can usually do a lot of other stuff." Sky said Thursday night that Flashman had called her several times to apologize. Flash has been the only character that I've had to fictionalize -- because no one would ever believe the truth. Girls are calling me and going, 'According to Luke F-rd, you must be a pimp.' "I have never lost more contracts than the last three days. I'm a Jewish hustler and I will be on that phone. One should not judge the others by the way they dress or talk, especially in the adult industry. We should know better. Nobody is more angelic than the others. We are the ones who suppose to have more open mind, and more accepting to the differences in our own individualities. So who made you (whoever is the close minded person ) better? 7/2/01 Porn middleman Flashman says: I got a strange phone call from that little photographer that works with me for Adult Stars Magazine. That little [Dino] Don Juan. He seemed angry about some picture you put on the site. I had no idea what he was talking about. My guess would be that if you put a picture of him on the site from one of those porno shoots, I wouldn't see what the problem would be. I couldn't understand, he was yelling in the phone that he was mad at Luke F-rd about something. He can join the club. Hugh Hefner's part is the fifth of July, then Erotica LA, the FOXE Awards and the FSC's Night of the Stars. That was where we first met. The reason that I haven't been calling you the last eight weeks... The magazines and the Date A Porn Star services that I work for, they told me to keep a lower profile. A lot of that conversation about, 'He's a pimp with sunglasses and a fur coat'... I have several people who send me nice pay checks call me on the phone and tell me, 'Let's go a little bit easy on Gene Ross and Luke F-rd for a while.' It's a little bit too much publicity. I did get some heat from some of the magazines that I write for and send pictures in... I got heat from escort people. It isn't a good idea to advertise too much. A lot of the porn star girls called me and said, 'Flashman, never mention my name doing any kind of adult work.' They just didn't want the publicity. Maybe their mothers look at l-keford. When I call girl's houses, and their mother answers, I have to be very low key about f--- films coming up. It's dangerous. Sometimes the mothers think they're just modeling in Los Angeles.
