Kid Vegas phoned at 9PM Thursday night, 9/23/99.

Kid Vegas: "Have you ever heard of DavidLace.com? He's an internet content provider for adult bulls---. I got paged at his office a few minutes ago and I called over there and talked to Mara Pleasures and some other girl. Luke hears that David Lace was thrown out of Atlanta for photographing underage girls. His real name is Joseph David Trotter. He got his studio run out of Cobb County in Atlanta.

A female source phoned Luke Sunday afternoon.

XXX says: "I shared office space with him until the middle of July. The reason that I moved out is that he would get drunk in the middle of the night and bring over girls and tell them that they were 'modeling.' And he'd tell them that they couldn't get paid unless they gave him and all of his friends blowjobs."

"These girls would come over and they would start with, I don't want to do toys. I don't want to do this... And he would get them all drunk, and pressure them to drink... And the next thing you know, they're totally doing him and his five friends all hanging out in the studio. This is the most disgusting place and this guy is so manipulative. He seems really businesslike at first... He would make me shoot for no money. He would try to charge us rent for our studio and then he would cancell photoshoots on me and tell me that I couldn't shoot. The guy is a certifiable sociopath. He messes with people's lives just to do it.

"He told his assistant's boyfriend, the maintenance guy, that she was out doing guys behind his back, just to f--- with her because she quit because she was so disgusted by him. David is so scary. He hires people to beat people up.

"It's really scarey for these girls who go over there. They don't want to do things at first. They just want to model nude. The next thing you know they're prostitutes."

David's former assistant comes on the phone. She says: "He's doing videos at night with either prostitutes or models who do not know what they are doing. And having four or five guys jump in and getting the girl lit out of her mind. This little girl, barely 18, came in. And when she was sober, she was like, no insertions, no boy-girl, no nothing. And by the end of the night, she was drunk and doing DP and everything else. It sounds like more than drunk to me but I am not going to assume that is other drugs...

"He tried to rip me off every day. I had to keep exact track of everything or else he would've ripped me off... I worked for him for eight months. He lives up in his studio (8841 Exposition Blvd, in Culver City, with cross streets Venice and Washington Blvds) with about eight other people. He says he has cop friends. DavidLace.com Staff Walk Out On Him

XXX reports: Luke, Some fresh news from Las Vegas. All of the staff photographers and photoshop editors for webcontent provider Davidlace.com walked out after a weekend of taking s--- from David. Its a well known fact in the adult business that davidlace provides some of the better still images for websites on the market, but its because he underpays the models and his staff. Most people don't work for him for more then 4 months before leaving usually with David owing them a lot of money. There are many models who attempt to sue and he currently is being sued by a model he flew out from Las Vegas. Some of his ex-staff work for other adult companies or they start their own. Matrixmodels.com was started by an ex-davidlace employee who was ripped off by David.

David Lace also flew 16yr old looking Gauge (Mojo's ex) in from Tennessee for this weekends show. She was signing his is booth at the show wearing a small davidlace.com t-shirt during the day. In the evening she was an anal sex toy for the two German owners of coolspot.de the company who partnered with davidlace on the $40,000 booth and who developed the database driven website that allows webmasters to download content as soon as they purchase it.

David goes to priceline.com to find $100 plane tickets from ATL to LAX, then has them stay in two small rooms in the back of the studio in Culver City. Meals are usually pizza or take out. David sleeps in his office. Everyone uses the same nasty bathroom. Most girls get half day shoots (4 hours for $300) and very few girls full day shoots (8 hours for $600). Most shoots are solo girl, but for another $100 David expects you to suck or f--- someone. Girls flown in usually go home with about $1200. They were promised to make much more. During a halfday shoot David has around 8 different "sets" made up. One might be a bedroom, one might be a cheerleader outfit. Within the halfday shoot David expected his photographers(who quit this weekend) to get all 8 sets with 200 to 300 images per set. The davidlace.com website lists most "sets" at around $250. Photographers were paid $200 per halfday. Some of the more popular "sets" might be sold to 100 different websites.

All of Davids staff went to help out with the show. After refusing to pay them most drive or flew back to LA Sunday night. The only person still working for him is his ex-wife to performs house keeping duties for $200 a week.

Seven Degrees Of David Lace

XXX writes: My next article for you will most likely be called the 7 degrees of David Lace. I will attempt to show that most people in the porn business can be connected to David Lace. Here a few examples:

Derrick King – A wanna be talent agent who runs “Royal King Entertainment” as a way to girls to f--- him, he used to live at Lace Studios in Culver City. Derrick is known to shoot scenes and promise to pay but then keeps misplacing the checks.

Skylar Knight - A beautiful upcoming pornstar(’98 – 99) who was first flown to LA by Lace Productions. Later “Royal King Entertainment” represented her.

Ed Powers - Since Lace Productions is a still photography studio a lot of new girls that David brings in find their way to Ed. Cross reference the girls in Ed’s movies with the davidlace website.

Brandon Irons - Brandon now works on some projects with Derrick King. While Derrick was living at Lace Studios Brandon was hired for a virtual sex CD-ROM. Halfway into the project Brandon abruptly leaves. Since the footage couldn’t be completed, the entire project was scrapped with a loss of about $7,000. Brandon and David are arch enemies.

Roy Garcia - The plump talent agent constantly competes with Lace Productions on recruiting new models from Las Vegas. David installed an agent to work full time in Vegas.
