Known for her bubbly nature, Misty Rain drips sex. "We first saw her in all-girl features and feared this California tease would never take pork on screen. Then a flurry of videos came out with Misty paired with her off-screen boyfriend Chad Thomas. Misty took on other studs and was transformed into a full-tilt cum queen, hungry for fame, fortune and getting f---ed." (Jeremy Stone, AFW 96D p. 86)

Born 8/10/69, Misty appears in New Wave Hookers 4, Misty Rain's Anal Orgy, Buttslammers 9 and Moist Thighs.

"I've always been sexual, a tease, an exhibitionist, so I thought it'd be fun to be on film and let everybody see it.

"When I was a teenager, I loved to do anything my parents didn't want me to do; stay out late and go out with all kinds of guys. I was promiscuous."

Before entering porn, Misty, 28, stripped at several clubs in LA such as the Wild Goose, the Jet Strip and Bare Elegance.

In November, 1992, Misty answered Jim South's ad for nude models. "I wasn't sure about entering the business. I just wanted to check it out. This guy walks into the office and asks me to do a scene right away for Untamed Cowgirls 2.

"I did Jeanna Fine. It was intense and crazy. She was spitting, spanking and slapping me and using fingers. I was shocked. It was only my second time with a woman."

Then Misty fell into the hands of Max Hardcore, who was then shooting LBO's Anal Vision series.

"Max is a good guy, but he is very hardcore. We shot for hours and hours. I was freaked. I thought to myself, 'I hope they're not all this hard.'"

During 1992 and 1993, Misty performed in sex movies during the day and stripped at night, earning loads of money. She slowed her performing in 1995, doing only eight movies and even fewer the next year. In total, she's done 150 features, appeared on 30 boxcovers and in over 40 sex magazines.

"My mom doesn't know what I do while my dad does know. But it's to the point where there's nothing they can really say. There hasn't been a lot of respect in my family for each other.

"My dad found me in a video that he was watching with a girlfriend.

"In December, 1995, I was looking for a dress in a lingerie store for C.E.S. (the Consumer Electronics Show) with my brother and I said "This is like what Debbie Diamond wore"... And he said "You know Debi Diamond?" And so I told him about my work and he said, "That's cool. I just don't want to see it"."

Along with her manager and boyfriend Chad Thomas, she started Pure Filth Productions in 1996 which turns out pro-am porn flicks.

"I love feature dancing across the country. Getting to travel, meeting people... Chad comes along as my manager."

He's performed in almost 100 flicks of which his favorite is Misty Rain's Anal Orgy where he takes on half-a-dozen girls in one scene.

AVN reviews The Anal Diary of Misty Rain. "Dear Diary: Today I spied half a dozen three-ways, dps, g/gs and the nastiest booty-pushin' I've ever seen. I think I'm gonna play with myself until my clit drops off. Yours truly, Misty."

One of Misty's earliest appearances, Anal Diary is a raunchy example "of rubber-gloved oil lubes, nipple pinching, and outrageous anal entertainment." (AVN 97)

During Misty's first year in the biz, she only performed with girls. Then over the months she slowly expanded the number of guys with whom she had on-camera sex. Chad is her main man. He's the only male who gets to do her anally. She may open up her anus to other men in the future, as well as do DPs and possibly a gangbang.

In her private life, Misty's a moderate swinger.

"No, I'm not," she said to me.

Then a friend butted in - "Misty, you've done three guys [off-camera] in the last three days. Of course you're a swinger."

He turns to me. "Misty thinks you have to do ten guys a week to be a swinger."

Rain stands 5'7", measures 34B-24-34 and weighs 115 pounds. "I have no plastic on my entire body. No nose job, not tit job."

She enjoys novelist Anne Rice, particularly her Vampire Chronicles. "They have sex and bondage."

Misty watches some of her own videos but feels shy doing so. "I don't have much time." Her favorite flick is Sodomania 4, followed by Buttslammers, Fantasy Chamber, Takin' it to the Limit 6, The Dinner Party, Sex and Latex.

She wants to marry in a few years and have babies while staying in porn.

"With her glasses, oversized leather jacket and ponytail, Misty looks more like a cheerleader from Corn County, Nebraska than a girl who does porn. She bears little resemblance to the wild-eyed insatiable f--- monster most porn fans are familiar with. Rain looks smaller in person, more quiet than her ferocious screen persona." (AFW)

Misty: "I love porn. I get to work out all my anxieties, my aggressions, in front of the camera. I feel free when I'm making an X-rated video. I have a license to do anything. I get to hide behind a costume or persona and explore all my fantasies. Not everyone can say that about their work. I feel lucky.

"I started out working for Bruce Seven. He's cool. He taught me a lot - how to be nasty. Bruce makes you do the things he wants to see on the screen, the things that turn him on. If you're not getting it right, he'll yell out "Faster, faster." If you still don't get it right, he'll make you do it over and over again until you do get it right. That's the only way you can learn.

"Bruce casts such wonderful girls in his videos. They're all professional and all love sex with other women. Ladies like Adrianna, Felecia and Debi Diamond are now my friends.

"I find fetish work interesting. It's growing on me. The only problem is that my butt is so sore from being spanked so much. But it's fun. I especially liked it when Luc Wilder soothed my butt with an ice cube after he spanked me.

"My pierced nipples make my tits more sensitive. They're pierced behind the nipple, so they stick out more than they would. Whenever someone touches them, it feels like they tickle from the inside out. It's the most incredible feeling."

At the AVN Expo last week, I talked with Chad, husband of Misty Rain, who complained about a statement someone said on my site that Misty frequently looked drugged or drunk.

"Why didn't you call me?" asked Chad. "For me to get this second hand, seems unfair. It makes me want to kick your ass. If someone wrote that about your girlfriend, wouldn't you want to kick his ass? Misty has worked hard in this business to create a reputable name. We don't do drugs except for a little pot...

"Nine out of ten girls in this business probably do drugs, but I don't see them getting named. Just because Pink TV hired Misty to host their show... Why do Talking Blue [Chad believes Talking Blue was my source] get off for talking bad about Misty?

"If Pink TV is in competition with Pink TV and Kelly Holland, that is America.

"Yes, Missy's site is not up yet but we're putting up a bad assed site. We're not just throwing stuff up there like a lot of other people do. We're not out to rip off the consumer."

Luke: "I heard rumors that Misty was showing up drunk a lot?"

Chad: "Nothing could be further from the truth. I can remember one time in six years that she got drunk on a set. And I wasn't there that day... When I got back to the set, I could tell she'd been drinking [around January, 1999]... And I brought up in conversation to her and she got huffy... That is the only time... She'll go weeks and weeks without drinking, and then if there's a social event, she'll have a couple of drinks. She doesn't drink straight alcohol. She doesn't drink stuff that will change her personality. And what is an alcohol problem? I know people who will drink a sixpack of beer every day."

Luke: "That's an alcohol problem."

Chad: "I know plenty of people like that... I know girls who drink every time they dance. So what is an alcohol problem? I think that is in the eye of the beholder. It's like the statement, 'it's hot out there today.' For one person, 80 degrees is hot. For another, 90 degrees is hot... To me, she has no alcohol problem. I can't remember her taking a drink in a month...

"So one time, in her whole career, she gets drunk on a set... When I've seen other girls not show up, go to the set and do drugs, passout... Or a couple of years ago when Ecstasy was in, tons of girls would show up on Ecstasy... She's never taken Ecstasy or GHB or heroin in her whole life.

"I don't do them either except smoke a little pot. And so does every other motherf---er in this business, including producers and directors and owners...

"When I was young, I owned my own businesses for 13 years [car stereo, limousines]... When I was in my early 20s, I did every kind of drug you could imagine. But I got smart, and by the time I was 25, I opened my own business and moved on...

"I don't look down on anybody for doing them [drugs]... Everybody in this business has done some... I'm sure that Dave Michaels [of Talking Blue] has done them... But I don't look at girls in this business and say, 'she's a f---ing coke whore.' If she wants to do coke, and keep it under control, and still be professional, then who cares? Until it becomes a problem and interferes with my life... If you show up to my set all f---ed up...

"I don't allow alcohol or any kind of drugs on my sets. I want girls to look big wide eyes, pretty... If you drink or do drugs, you're not going to look pretty. My main job is to shoot you on video and make you look the prettiest possible."

Metro distributes Chad and Misty's series called Mistycam.

Luke: "I heard that Rob Spallone was mad at you for not paying him for talent."

Chad: "Right. I hired this blonde girl [7/98], Jennifer Lee... She mentioned no agent. She got paid. A couple of weeks later, Rob Spallone calls me up and says that I owe money for one of his girls... I said, 'she didn't say she had an agent, and the books are closed on that movie.' But both of us got s---ty with each other...

"I'm 41 years old. I don't need anybody to tell me that he is going to kick my ass because I am not going to pay him $65. And then he threatened my life. He goes, 'send the boys over there right now, you're a dead motherf---er.'

"I said, 'you don't even know who you're talking to. You want to threaten my life over $65. I welcome it. Come up to me right now and threaten my life...' I've never even met the guy. If he's any sort of businessman at all, he should tell his girls to tell people that they have an agent. And if not, we should work it out like gentlemen, not get on the phone and threaten me that you are going to kill me over $65. That you know where I live and that you're sending somebody over there right now... So naturally, I was like, who the f--- are you, f--- you... And hung up on him...

"And if he's going to kick my ass, he better do it good because I've got lawyers... I've been around a long time. I have lawyers and CPAs who work for me. I own my own house. I've got a $600,000 house that is almost paid. I've got many assets, stocks, bonds, options, property... I'm a well put together person...

"And that's why Misty did good. Because when she got into this business, I managed her. I did not allow people to take advantage of her. I set her rate and helped make her the person she is today.

"He's telling people to this day that he's going to kill me for $65. And from what I heard, he got the money from Metro anyway. He called up Metro and because he bugged them so much about it, they paid him. And then he wants to call up and say that he knows Kenny Guarino and that I'm through in this business. All over $65, why would he do this?"

Luke: "He's from New York."

Chad: "When people get older, you don't go around saying that you are going to kick someone's ass. That's high school s---. If you commit bodily harm against another person, you can go to jail for that, or get sued, and have your assets taken away. If he's so riled up about it, why doesn't he sit down with me at a show sometime, and get his feelings out. Tell me what he feels. Why all the hostility and bulls--- over $65? Or because I hung up on him on the phone. So what? I did not like the way he talked to me... Any man should be able to take a hangup or a f--- you or a suck my dick or go to hell."

Rob replies Monday afternoon: "He's a punk and if he's got a problem with me, he can call me. You're a f---ing cunt. Metro paid me. People asked me not to smack you around but I will when I see you. You did sign the girl's card saying that I was her agent, you little f---ing cunt. And I don't threaten anybody."

Luke to Chad: "Are you still doing scenes?"

Chad: "Not many... Since I've been working with Metro, I've focused my energy on managing Misty and setting up her dance jobs... The reason I jump into Mistycam, is that it is so hard when you see all these girls... I don't do talent for the other companies because of the time factor... Earning $300-$400 per boy-girl scene is cool if you need the money and that's your living and you do several scenes a week... But I have bigger goals...

"I've already owned more than practically anybody in the business has owned... House, cars, boats, Harley...

"My goal in the business is to start a production company that we can survive on in the years to come... I have no vision of seeing myself as a top dude. I was stabbed at age 28 and I have big scars. My face has acne... Some people want to see more of a pretty boy... Some people don't mind seeing Ron Jeremy f---, and some people do... I strictly do scenes for fun.

Chad: "Our primary base is Arizona but we also have an apartment here.

"For six years, Misty has stayed among the top girls... You don't do that by being drunk or drugged... You do that by dressing really bitchin', by being sweet and by having a good personality, and doing interviews with everybody like Dave Michaels of Talking Blue. She helped him build his company.

"I want to get along with everybody. I have no animosity towards anybody. I've only twice heard negative things about myself or Misty.

"Misty is a responsible girl. She's been condom only since 1997, a year before Shane started... She just didn't have a company behind us that wanted to exploit it... Metro did not want to go condom-only. Even though they let her do it, they did not want to exploit the situation. 'Hey, condom only is a cool thing.' Shane got a lucky break of getting to do that with Odyssey.

"Fifty percent of the boyfriends in this business are suitcase pimps but 50% of them are also responsible husbands and boyfriends who do try to look after their wives to the best of their abilities... With no management skills.

"And if the boyfriends did not allow their girls to do this, there would be no porno stars. There aren't many single girls in the business. They all have a guy behind them, who says, 'honey, I don't care if you go get f---ed... I still love you.' Without that support, the girls wouldn't be here."

Luke: "Isn't it time for you and Misty to get married?"

Chad: "We want to save marriage for having kids. Then we'll get married. Right now there is no reason. We have the greatest relationship in the world."

Dave Michaels of Talking Blue Responds:

Luke, the last few days on your site, looks like the workings of a Quinten Tarentino movie. It isn't linear and jumps all around on it's articles. I mention this out of jest, but you started to cover the events at the AVN Adult Expo, then go off on that "Star" guy, (which by the way, is VERY interesting if it is all true), then come back about me meeting Chad (Misty Rain's boyfriend) on the floor, then come back this Monday about the run in with Chad also, the same day we met up with him a full hour after meeting with you. Come on, "Pulp Fiction" wasn't this conjointed. How did you get such a long interview with Chad anyway. God, you are quick with that mini cassette recorder. ;-)

About the comments made by Chad about me, as was mentioned in an earlier entry on your site, we are fine with each other after having a responsible talk with each other. Things we're said about Misty, about behavior witnessed by others, but weren't said by either I or my associates. We were just repeating things said to us by the fellows at "Pick TV", that I guess were supposed to be for "our ears only". The statement was taken out of context and Chad understood exactly how situations arise from s--- like this. It isn't the first time people try to slag others and it won't be the last. So as of this writing, Chad and I are fine with each other.

It basically came done to one statement that I made. "We've been doing this television show for over 5 years. We will still be doing it for 5 more, and keep doing it till it isn't fun anymore. Just check our "track record", have we not always been there for the performers and companies to cover their events, and we do it because we started out as fans in this venture, and we will go out as fans. We do this for nothing and we aren't compensated by any of the companies. Just remember we were there in the beginning for Misty and we'll be there when she decides to do something else." That's it. Simple.

This goes for everyone else we have worked with over the course of half a decade we've been out there. Sure, we have had a bumpy road with the "other cable shows" but over the years we have become good friends with these same people, cause we all released it doesn't matter what others think, as long as you are good to your word and get the show out there to the fans. And we really have gotten the message out there. Since disassociating ourselves with the "Pick" people, and they deciding to try it on their own, things have fallen into place. We end our summer hiatus with all new episodes of the show that start in the Fall. Not just in our normal markets of Los Angeles and San Francisco and it's surrounding areas...we also will start airing in New York, Seattle and in an hour long format for Australia.

We also are in the works to air the show nationally with the help of www.mimi.cc (adult film superstar Mimi Miyagi), on the Time/Warner cable network as a locally broadcast show. It will be on those infomercials channels, but in an hour long format and will have commercials from the adult and local sponsors in the areas. It won't have all the nudity you all love, but we will pixel out the naughty bits and add bleeps to the language if need be. We also have been contacted by Playboy TV to create an hour long pilot, since they were impressed with our work on their "Sexcetera" series. And to top it off, we are now seen by over 1.8 million people a month on our website which now carries the Talking Blue show on the site for the world to see.

We are getting fans from all over the world, with email coming in from England, France, all parts of Europe, Israel, Australia & of course, areas of the good 'ol US of A! When we were at this year's Adult Expo, people kept coming up to us and thanking us for the show. They stopped our co-producer, Brittany Andrews on the floor constantly, saying how much they dug her from the show. A guy came up to us and said how much he loved the show, and we asked what station he saw it on, thinking he was going to mention a local Los Angeles one, but much to our surprise, he said he saw it in Wisconsin! WISCONSIN! We don't play in f---ing Wisconsin! He told us he has a friend with a tricked out big dish antennae and saw it on there and also had a membership to www.danni.com site. Danni Ashe is a supporter of our show and has our video feeds on her site for her fans to watch, so our fan base for the show just keeps on growing. I'm not going to get into petty stuff with our competitors, when no competition should be involved. The bottom line has always been about getting a TV show out there that the fans could love and for a forum for the performers to speak their minds. Like I said before, we'll stop making the show, when it's not fun anymore. I guess we are doing something right, cause we're still here. Much love to the performers and the adult film professionals.
