"Serious history of the dirty-movie business." Booklist

Like Annette Haven, Bridgitte Monet (Dana Kunath) was a cool sex performer, but unlike Annette, Brigitte couldn't act. She had a squeaky voice which bothered masturbaters almost as much as her habit of only performing boy-girl sex with her whining boyfriend Dave Cannon. She made occasional exceptions, doing Mike Horner in I Like To Watch and John Leslie in Talk Dirty To Me 2.

"Bridgette's the sexiest girl in the business," writes Lonny from Los Angeles, "and has the most fantastic figure and the best proportioned breasts... I love watching her do anything on the screen. She could just stand there naked, maybe playing with her luscious jugs for a while, and I'd get off." (AFW)

Monet led the first wave of the "too-pretty-for-porn" brigade which spawned the likes of Racquel Darrian and Janine.

Her best performances with girls came with Stacey Donovan in Girls That Love Girls and Linda Shaw in Sorority Sweethearts.

Off-camera, Bridgitte didn't mix with the porn crowd. She attended college with the hopes of making it to medical school. She didn't.

On-camera, her performances were catatonic. "Better to jerk to her still photos. It's almost the same as watching her movies," says Michael Albo.

Playboy featured the brunette as Dana Cannon in a March, 1984 pictorial and profile.

An email from 2/99: "I went to high school with Dana Kunath who later became Bridgette Monet. Since her retirement from porn she has moved back to San Diego County and is raising a family. I ran into her at a mall not long ago and we talked about old times, though she never mentioned her porn career. There was an older lady with her I assumed was her mother and she was pushing a stroller with a toddler in it."
