Rusty Nails left Las Vegas because he was burglarized three times. For the past few months, he's been living in Jim South's Northridge rental house for porn stars. Last Saturday, he had a laptop (worth $4,000 including the software on it) was stolen. The suspect is porn star Cheyenne, who owes Jim South $1,200.

From Nashville, Kelsey Michaels, 23, came to Los Angeles July 28. She's already done three movies.

"When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. I played doctor all the time."

A preacher's kid, Kelsey (stands 5'3") followed in her older sister's footsteps (they have a six-year-old brother) and became a stripper at age 18. At 20, she became an adult model.

Duke: "If you wanted to do porn, what took you so long to come to LA?"

Kelsey: "Getting the money to get out here. Nashville didn't pay as well to adult models. There's no porn [industry] in Nashville. Dancing you make $200-$300 a night, plus you're paying rent and everything."

Michaels (who lost her virginity at 15) went to a Pentacostal Christian Academy (all-girls school) for highschool. She was a tomboy who hung out with guys, often sneaking out of the house to go camping. Her older sister was a goody two-shoes.

"Talking was my main problem in school. I got paddled a lot. I was a straight-A student. My best subjects were Science and English. I'm hoping to go to business college but I'm going to wait to do it."

Duke: "Why did you become a dancer?"

Kelsey: "I like attention."

Kelsey says her older sister wants to come to LA to do porn. "She only does girl-girl and anal because she's a lesbian. She's married [to a woman]. She'll only do anal [with her wife].

"I know she'll do good here because I've done good here and she looks identical to me."

Duke: "How did you sisters get into [stripping]?"

Kelsey: "Our mom (who was 26 when she gave birth to Kelsey) did it when she was younger. It's a family thing. My parents got divorced [when Kelsey was 10] and my mom started dancing. She retired about three years ago."

Michaels' father (a pastor in Kentucky) doesn't know his daughters work as strippers and that Kelsey works in porn. "He thinks I work in a factory."

Kelsey's manager/pimp, a black guy, lives in Las Vegas, and takes much of her money (to Kelsey's distress).

Kelsey won't do anal or interracial. "I'm from the South."

I arrive at 10:10pm. The place is almost full. I spot director Roy Karch getting a hug from the adorable Kelsey Michaels.

Kelsey says her new best friend Jersey Jaxin moved to Tehachipi (near Lake Isabella) and bought a house (because it was cheap there). It's almost two hours drive to Los Angeles.

I arrive at 10:10pm. Kelsey Michaels (who's returned her hair to its natural color) tells me that her first movie came out today - Bring 'Em Young 19.

"I was on KSEX last night. A friend of mine from Tennessee called in. We went to highschool together. He asked how I got into the business. I told him to just go on your site.

"Hopefully I'll bring my sister here next month."

Kelsey was out of action for a week because of a tear she sustained during a sex scene. "Yesterday I did two girl-girl scenes and today I did a boy-girl. I've got to take it slow. I tell them, 'You've got to be gentle with me. I'm real little. I'm fragile.'"

Kelsey says she's encouraged an ex-boyfriend, Justin, (they never had sex) from Tennessee to come work in porn.

In highschool, Kelsey wore thick glasses and braces. She wore all-black and sported numerous piercings.

Now the people who made fun of her then are calling her. One woman who beat Kelsey up in highschool invited her to her wedding. Kelsey refused.

Kelsey says she wants to do a bondage scene but nobody wants to do bondage with her because she looks too sweet and innocent. "I'm the dominant one too."

Kelsey: "The usual."

Duke: "Why did you do it?"

Kelsey: "Because not many people can say that they've worked with Max Hardcore. I'm trying to get myself out there and I want people to know that I'm up for anything."

Duke: "Did you get hurt?"

Kelsey: "I did it two days ago and I did a scene yesterday and a scene today."

Duke: "Will you do it again?"

Kelsey: "I don't know. He wants me to."

Kelsey's mom was a porn star -- Christine Roberts (did dozens of pornos, just turned 26, she was in LA last week, came on one set with her). Her father is a Protestant minister.

Michaels says she's run into five people who knew her. She worked with one guy who also worked with her mom -- Randy Spears.

Kelsey says she won't work with her mom. "Trust me. Everybody's already tried."

Michaels says her mom's porn career was the reason her parents divorced. "She was 17 going on 18 when she had me and that's how she had to support me."

Duke: "When did you find out your mother was a porn star?"

Kelsey: "I was 16. Me and a bunch of friends were renting porn and she was in one. I ended up taking it home and asking, 'What is this?'

"She sat me down and we had the long talk. I found out [everything].

"She'd fly to LA every now and then.

"I'm going home [to Tennessee] Friday and then I'm going to bring my [older] sister here with me to do it too.

"It's a family tradition."

Duke: "Have you seen your mother's work?"

Kelsey: "No. I saw her when I was 16, but I didn't watch all of it.

"I've had so many people call me and say, 'Do you know that you're on the cover of a porn?' Yeah.

"They're just amazed. They can't wait for me to get home. 'I'm buying one. You better sign it.'

"It's only been out a week."

Duke: "Does your mom advise you?"

Kelsey: "She calls me and tells me who I should work with. She didn't want me working with Max but that it was probably a good career move.

"I did a scene with Randy Spears. He said, 'You look identical to someone I used to know.' After we got done with the scene, I said, 'My mom used to be in porn.' He said, 'Oh, that's so wrong.'

"If there are a lot of guys out there who've been in the industry for a while, they'll probably be with me and my mom. Then my sister comes out here."

Duke: "How does your mom feel about you doing this?"

Kelsey: "I used to run around the house saying I was going to be a porn star, so... When I was little, I thought I'd be a stripper. I'd dress up in my mom's lingerie and run around and say, 'I'm going to be a dancer,' and I'd shake my butt.

"She doesn't have any objections to [Kelsey doing porn] because she used to do it. She says that if it makes me happy, go for it.

"We look identical except her hair has always been down to here [waist]."
