2/9/05 Why was he fired? One theory is that David had points in the Vivid club (at the Venetian in Las Vegas) and that Steven Hirsch, Vivid owner, looked at the bar's numbers for that one night and decided he didn't want to share the profits. Another theory, the most popular theory, is that David was caught doing drugs at the club, either heroin or cocaine. Steven is a recovering drug addict, so he wouldn't want that stuff around him. Schlesinger started at Vivid in 1998 as a publicist. Then in 1999 he became the head of its Internet division. In 2003, Webquest took over Vivid's Internet operation. David quit Vivid to go to work for Girls Gone Wild. After Joe Francis got busted on child porn charges, David hustled back to Vivid with his tail between his legs. David asked Steven Hirsch for help. Steven hired him back. David took charge of branding. He organized the Vivid Club at the Venetian, which opened Friday night. He pushed Vivid condoms and Vivid Virility herbal pills. I've heard stories over the years that David has pulled a few things over Steven such as selling Vivid email lists. I'm not sure that David's marriage is still holding together. Schlesinger was spotted around Las Vegas in January with a woman not his wife. Word of David's firing leaked Monday but only Wednesday could I confirm it. Maybe David will go to work for Jenna Jameson's new J22 herbal erector enhancer. It sounds like a perfect fit. JFK writes on GFY: "Now that the club is done, perhaps he is no longer needed." Steve Hirsch said Thursday through his publicist Jackie Markham (her former clients include Paula Jones and ASK OJ): "By mutual agreement, David Schlesinger is no longer employed by the Vivid Entertainment Group. We hope to have the opportunity to work on projects together with David in the future." 11/8/05 David is broke, divorced and unemployed. He had a girlfriend while he had a wife. She caught him cheating and divorced him. David's still with that girlfriend. David was an elitist. He lived high. He had a beautiful home in the Hollywood Hills. He enjoyed partying with the cultural elite, such as the Vivid girls. Now it's all gone. I hear he's selling action figures. John Gray writes: "It's too bad that Schlesinger is destitute but I guess karma does play out sometimes and it couldn't have happened to a better guy!" 12/21/05 Steve Hirsch And His Younger Brother Brad Organize Dramatic Intervention To Save The Lives Of Heroin Addicts David Schlesinger And His Nude Model Girlfriend Kaylyn Lyman Last week, Steve and company got them into separate rehab houses. Kaylyn (a former stripper) escaped from her rehab house last night but turned herself back in today. As an incentive to David to go into rehab, Hirsch promised him a job if he cleaned up his act. Steve Hirsch flew David Schlesinger's best friends from around the country into Los Angeles to make this intervention (Steve was not there). Schlesinger was on a dramatic downward spiral and appeared headed for death. I do not believe that Schlesinger is divorced from his Persian wife Tali, but he's been together with Kaylyn for over two years. Kaylyn's family want her to get her act together and to sever all contact with porn and with Schlesinger. Gary Kremen says Schlesinger ripped sex.com for over $100k several years ago. Gary wonders if David have used the money for drugs. Around 1990, Steve Hirsch and some of his porner friends went to rehab to get clean from cocaine addiction. Someone who knows Kaylyn Lyman emails me: "Please keep my email, and if you ever get in touch with that bastard [David Schlesinger], let him know that there are alot of angry family members of Kaylyns and it's in his best interests to stay away from her." |
