I attended James DiGiorgio's set for the VCA movie Succubus.

I talk to slight blonde Ava Vincent.

Ava: "I love the Hungarian look. I think those are the most gorgeous girls in the world."

"I was supposed to do Julie [Meadows, VCA contract girl] but Julie's straight [Julie doesn't do girls]. So they had to rearrange so that I would still have the same number of scenes."

Luke: "You do guys, right?"

Ava: "Yes."

Rob Spallone: "Something tells me that she'll do anything. That innocent looking girl over there that you wouldn't even think would do porn will do just about anything."

Ava giggles. "And why do you think that?"

Rob: "I have my reasons."

Ava: "Yeah. Because of my boyfriend [John Decker]?"

Rob: "Nice guy, but crazy? Yes."

Ava: "He's crazy in every way."

Luke: "How long have you been with John?"

Ava: "Since last summer."

I met John Decker in May of 1997 when he was married to Roxanne Hall. They divorced soon after and he began living with Mia Smiles, who now does escort work according to Exotica2000.com.

Ava: "I'm playing a Succubus who used to seduce men and women to suck their souls. I come after Herschel Savage and I proceed to seduce him. His character is much like a Michael Douglas character who ends up f---ing some girl and she comes after him to haunt him. I proceed to seduce his wife, but since it's Julie Meadows and she's straight, I f--- her through him. So it looks like he's f---ing her. He's having sex with Julie but she looks up in the mirror occasionally and she sees that it is me f---ing her and not him."

Luke: "How did you get into this industry?"

Ava: "I worked for an adult bookstore [Suzie's Adult Bookstores] in Sacramento. I was a clerk. I was a theater major and I was going to come down to LA and try acting. But before I was able to do that, I needed a job in the interim. I was completely shy and inhibited and it opened up new things for me. So I decided that that [porn] was something I wanted to try. I met Samantha Style and that's how I did my first movie - for Seymore Butts."

Born in Placerville, Ava attended East Union High School in Manteca.

Ava: "I'm from really small towns. I didn't even live in Manteca. Manteca was the big town. I lived in French Camp. Eight people live there. I grew up on the farms around the cows."

Luke: "I went to Water World in Manteca."

Ava: "Yes, that's the big thing in Manteca."

Rob storms in and says to Dino Bravo: "Can you jerk off?"

Dino: "Yes."

Rob: "Get in there."

Ron Miller aka Don Hollywood apparently hurt his penis and they need a stunt cock.

Rob: "The rubber snapped and hit his penis and it ain't gonna work."

Ava says that she's discussed signing as a contract girl with Sin City but nothing's official yet. Even though Sin City once put out an announcement that they had signed her before she ever got close to writing her name on the dotted line.

Ava: "My favorite movies have been for Sin City."

Jim DiGiorgio bursts in: "How many times has she said that Jim DiGiorgio is her favorite director?"

Ava: "The nicest thing about Michael Raven is that he takes chances on roles. He does very edgy characters, which is what I like. A lot of porn is housewife with a midlife crisis. I like serial killers. I like really dark deep edgy dramatic things. And the things I've done for Michael Raven have been closest to what I like. I've done Adrenalin and Limbo and Underworld. He saw me at one point and he could see that I could play an evil character. He knows me too well."

Ava giggles. "But most people usually put me in the sweet innocent roles."

Rob protests the naked porners walking through the room.

Rob: "There's no reason for it. For what reason do you need to walk around naked? What am I, a f---ing pervert?"

Luke to Ava: "What's your favorite song?"

Ava: "This is Music by The Verve. They're from England. Their largest hit was Bittersweet Symphony. They're like U2."

Luke: "I've heard of U2."

Ava: "That's a good thing. I'd have to worry about you."

Britt: "Do you get laid much?"

Luke: "No. Only one woman in the last 18 months."

Ava: "That's not very much.

"I get to have sex with a beautiful woman. I met her on [Playboy's] Sex Court. She's done a bunch of layouts.

"I'm the new stenographer on the show. I sit there and pretend to use the stenographer's typewriter. And the bailiff Alexandra Silk comes and distracts me... I'm an ornament."

Ava Vincent's Ass Fondled Inappropriately By Pornography Director Nic Orleans

6/16/01

XXX writes: I phoned you last night aboout an incident that happened on a Michael Simmons [Nic Orleans] set with Ava Vincent......He inappropriately felt up her ass while she was running lines between scenes - and allowed one of the male performers to continue to harass her on the set - and when she specifically asked that he (Michael S.) put a stop to it because it was not called for, he simply scoffed it off, saying "Let him 'do his thing'" - which basically means: allow him to fondle you (even in spite of the fact that the two of you are NOT even doing a scene together). It was also revealed that he had been repeatedly inappropriate with other females on the set - and not just the talent. When confronted with this, he defensively asked "Who said that?" and when he was told that it was in confidence, he retorted "Well, then you have no recourse, do you? And even if it is so, there's nothing you can do about it." Let it also be known that he completely mislead her in what her scene involved in the way of sex, hiring her to do 'ONE' thing, and then in the middle of the scenario, expecting it to go further than arranged and agreed.

Ava Vincent Marries John Decker

From AVN.com: Adult performer Ava Vincent shared with AVN.com that she recently married fellow adult performer John Decker and just wrapped up a feature for Wicked Pictures. The busy performer is the August 2001 Penthouse Pet of the month, and plans to keep her schedule open for Penthouse appearances and perhaps some honeymoon time with her new husband.

I met Ava Vincent in May 2001 on a porn set. We laughed our way through a long interview. She'd been warned about me and did not say anything stupid.

I call Ava Vincent (who entered porn in 1999 from Sacramento) Friday afternoon, October 10, 2003.

Luke: "Did your ex-boyfriend John Decker lose an eye in a fight?"

Ava: "Not in fight. It's funny how gossip gets around. He was changing a tire and a piece of the metal broke and flew into his eye and he'll never be able to see out of it again."

Luke: "Bring me up to speed since our last conversation in May 2001."

Ava: "After [breaking up with] John Decker, I took a year off. I started up again in 2002 and I've worked steadily. Currently I'm with Kurt Lockwood. I'm only working with him and girls."

Luke: "How did you meet Kurt?"

Ava: "I met him at the bank. I was going in to Ralphs [end of 2002] and to pay my bills at Wells Fargo. He was there. He was like, 'Are you Ava?' He knew who I was. I guess I was one of his favorite porn stars. I was a little frightened at first but it turned out to be a good thing."

Luke: "What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a relationship with somebody in the business?"

Ava: "I have someone who understands the business. I have to keep the disadvantages in perspective because now I'm only working with him, while I don't have any problem with him working with other girls. "I'm just moving with him right now and I haven't spent a night at my house since March. We've gotten to know each other well."

Luke: "You've got a toothbrush at his place?"

Ava: "You could say that."

Luke: "That's the first thing I've noticed when I get into a relationship with someone - I have my own toothbrush at her place, and she at mine. Then I leave stuff over at her house and she leaves clothing or jewelry at mine. Marking of territory."

Ava: "I started bringing over clothes and then other stuff. Then I brought over my dog and cat. That's why we moved to a house in Northridge because two dogs and all, it was cramped."

Luke: "What did you do while you were gone from porn?"

Ava: "I left for the better part of a year. I needed to get myself together. I pursued some mainstream things - modeling and acting. Things I'd always wanted to do. I was a theater major and all those things interested me but I just never gave myself the time to pursue them."

Luke: "Why would you come back to porn? Most people would rather work in mainstream."

Ava: "It's not like I was doing a Topgun movie. I wasn't doing anything big or financially successful. I wanted to come back to the industry. I didn't leave it because I hated it. I wanted to show people that I could still work and that everything was all right with me."

Luke: "Why have you been able to last so long in the industry while most people drop out after a few months?"

Ava: "It hasn't been hard for me. I'm always offered work."

Luke: "Will it be difficult for you to grow old in the industry?"

Ava: "I think I will only be in front of the camera for a couple of more years.

"I majored in theater in college. My plan was to come to LA to be an actress, and if things didn't work out, I'd be a drama teacher or work in psychology."

Luke: "Do you have any fears what working in this industry will do to your chances at success in other work?"

Ava: "I understand that this industry has limited my options. I'm never going to be in the Mickey Mouse club. I'm never going to teach elementary school. I will never be an elementary school teacher. When it comes to other realms of teaching like college, I don't think I have anything to worry about."

Luke: "You'd be a popular high school teacher?"

Ava: "If somebody recognized me, I'd be toast."

Luke: "If I were in high school, I'd definitely take your class. I'd sign up for theater for the first time. 'Check out that. Wow. Did you see her movies?'

"Have you noticed any changes in the industry since George Bush took office?"

Ava: "Yes. Vivid, for instance, sent out a list of all the stuff you couldn't do once he took office. Certain fingers in certain holes. No black guys working with white girls. There were certain measures taken to avoid going to court. There weren't any legal changes made. It was just to cover their asses."

Luke: "Do you sense much fear in the industry over further obscenity crackdowns (since Rob Black has been charged with obscenity)?"

Ava: "I do. I hear people talking about it. A lot of companies are taking it into consideration."

Luke: "Did you do interracial?"

Ava: "I did when I did gonzo. And anal. Once I started doing features, people just assumed I didn't do [either].

"I used to work at an adult bookstore. I knew what the different companies did. I knew that when Max Hardcore called me, he was beyond my limit and I told him no."

Luke: "Have you ever been pushed to do anything you didn't want to do?"

Ava: "Yeah. I was in the Rough Sex series [for Anabolic in late 1999]. It was well documented. I worked under the name "Jewel Valmont" then. I had Gene Ross tell me it was worse than the Rob Black movies.

"When I got to the set, they were detailed about what they wanted in the scene. I talked to Linda Thoren's boyfriend about it. I told him there were things I wasn't comfortable with that they wanted and they went ahead and did them to me anyway."

Luke: "I remember the word 'rape' was used."

Ava: "I can't say that happened. I never stopped the scene. The director [Kahn Tusion] could've said, 'Stop, she's not comfortable with that,' but he was more interested in getting a good scene. I wasn't trying to get them in trouble. I wasn't trying to get them to take it off the market. The things I said just happened to come up in an interview. Linda Thoren took it upon herself to have an agenda against Anabolic. She published everything [on the newsgroup rec.arts.movies.erotica].

"I was glad because a couple of other girls came forward and said the same thing happened to them."

Luke: "Did anything like that happen to you again?"

Ava: "No. I've walked off a couple of sets. I was told the scene was for a certain amount of money and then they change their mind when you get there."

Luke: "Has the industry tried to drive you down with your [pay] rates?"

Ava: "I've always tried to be reasonable. I'd rather not ask for money. I don't like to talk about money. Not that I was cheap."

Luke: "Have you had anyone bounce checks on you?"

Ava: "Yes, Sin City. "

Luke: "Michael Raven?"

Ava laughs. "Yes. The only person who has not made it good to me is Alec Metro. I saw him at Jim South's the other day and he says it was because the company did not pay him. I was trying to hunt him down for a long time. I'm sure you've heard the story. He changed his numbers and he moved. He dropped out. I imagine it was not just because the company didn't pay him.

"Paul Thomas [Vivid director and producer] never made good. He hit my car in 2001. It was two-weeks old. It was after John Decker had crashed my previous one. I'd just bought this Mercury Cougar. I paid for it in cash. Paul Thomas hit it on a set while it was parked and I wasn't in it. I came back and my car was all messed up. 'What happened?'

"Paul tried to lie about it. 'I don't know who did it but keep it quiet and see if anyone comes forward.' And as we were leaving on the last day of the shoot, he goes, 'Hurry up and move out of the way or I will hit your car again.' He admitted to me after that. He said he was going to pay for it. 'Let's not involve our insurance companies because my insurance will go up. I'll just pay for it.' And he never did.

"The high estimate was $3000. I ended up paying $1500. I drove around with my car messed up for the longest time. My previous car was an Eagle Talon. I had to trade in my Cougar because the transmission went out on me after the warranty expired. I've had bad car luck."

Luke: "Has Kurt Lockwood crashed any of your cars?"

Ava: "No. I have more faith in him. John Decker was not supposed to be driving my car when he totaled it. I was in Chicago on a radio station interview. I told him specifically not to drive my car."

Luke: "Did you break up with him soon after that?"

Ava: "Yeah, soon after that."

Luke: "What do you like about the industry?"

Ava: "It's an interesting subculture. It's like highschool. It has its drawbacks but it is also comforting in a way. You know everyone. I like going to the AVN Awards. It's exciting.

"You're not working a 9-5 job. Before I entered the industry, I worked at Mervyns. And before that, I managed an adult bookstore. I could barely pay my rent. They had me working 70 hours a week."

Luke: "Do you ever regret that you left Mervyns for this industry?"

Ava: "Not at all."

Luke: "You could've been a women's wear manager by now.

"I don't like the thought of my girl ever having sex before me."

Ava: "You and Kurt have something in common. I don't know how common that [attitude] is. I never encountered that before Kurt. It's hard sometimes. I know he works with other girls and I don't have a problem with that. I can't tell him much about my scenes before him."

Luke: "I'd get so jealous if I were him."

Ava: "[That attitude] has its advantages too. It's romantic."

Luke: "I don't like hearing about how her previous guys were so big."

Ava: "Why would she tell you? I was watching TV the other day. They had Ashton Kushner's [Demi Moore's boyfriend] rules of dating: Don't ever ask a guy if he wants to have sex, because the answer is always yes. Don't ever interrupt a guy while he's watching his game unless it is to have sex. Don't say anything about an ex-boyfriend unless it is really bad."

DUC proceeds to share his deepest darkest secrets. Ava giggles: "I like that. I like learning people's deepest darkest secrets. When people share their secrets with me, I feel like a little kid. It's a giggly exciting thing for me. Maybe I'd be a good interviewer."

Luke: "Maybe you'd make a good psychotherapist?"

Ava giggles: "I think they'd have a problem with me getting giggly after they tell me their secrets. 'You're not a good therapist, making fun of me.' No, I'm not. It's just exciting."

Luke: "How old were you when you first had sex?"

Ava: "Sixteen. It wasn't that great of an experience. The first time is always a weird experience. At least for girls. It was a guy I was with at summer camp. He was trying to be with me and his girlfriend who was not at the summer camp. He wasn't that nice about things."

Luke: "What are your fondest memories of high school?"

Ava: "It was the later part of high school. I started out shy. I got moved around a lot and I didn't know anyone. My grades were terrible because I was so unhappy. I wanted to be in theater but I was too soft spoken for people to hear me from the stage. About half way through high school, I made a decision to get good grades and to do well. After that, I got straight As and all the leads in the plays.

"I had a great time at my Senior Prom. I had a group of friend - eight girls and guys. We decided we should have our king and queen. We went to the prom for about 15 minutes just to say we went. Half of us went mini-golfing and the other half, that I was in, went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Berkeley. And then we stayed at in a hotel room in Carmel. It was fun but it wasn't particularly romantic or sexual."

Luke: "You mainly hung out with theater people in high school?"

Ava: "Yeah. I was too shy..."

Luke: "What books have you been reading?"

Ava: "I've read all the Ann Rice books but for some reason I've started rereading Interview With A Vampire. I've been reading make-up books. I'm thinking of becoming a make-up artist."

Luke: "Do you practice on Kurt Lockwood?"

Ava: "No, but I could."

Luke: "Does he ever try to dress up in your clothing?"

Ava: "No."

Luke: "Do you ever dress up in his clothing?"

Ava: "Oh yeah. I wear his clothes all the time. I wear his underwear to bed. Do you wear girls' clothes?"

Luke: "NO! I am fascinated with girls' underwear, lingerie. I would never wear it but I like seeing her in it. I'm amazed by all the differences clothing, lingerie, make-up, and hair bring out in a woman. Everything I've got is black.

"Have you always been blond?"

Ava: "No. My natural hair color is a light brown. I wanted to dye it blonde in high school but my mom said my hair would fall out. I dyed the top of my hair red and black before I got in the industry. When I started [in porn], my hair was dark brown. I prefer it blonde. I think it looks more natural on me because I'm fair-skinned. It makes me look younger than dark hair, which can be harsh on white girls like me. I wore a black wig in Euphoria a couple of years ago and many people said it look good. If I could dye my hair a different color every day and not worry about it falling out, I would."

Luke: "How would your best friends describe you?"

Ava: "That would be [make-up artist Red Velvet]. She thinks that I'm a nice person, sweet, kind, and that I work hard to make people happy. That if I need to change, I do. She would also say that I can be argumentative and sometimes more negative than positive. I think the majority of what she would have to say is nice."

Luke: "Do you find your personality changing with your hair color?"

Ava: "Not without me controlling it. I notice that I can get away with a lot more when I'm blonde and that I can play a lot more."

Luke: "Do you ever get speeding tickets, or when you are pulled over, do cops let you go?"

Ava: "I've gotten speeding tickets. I've gotten pulled over and they never let me go. I even had a cop, after he gave me a ticket, start hitting on me. Why did you give me the ticket then, man? I don't have great luck with cars and tickets. I've never had my driver's license taken away."

Luke: "Have you ever spent time in jail?"

Ava hesitates. "I did spend one night in jail. I don't know if I should tell you. It wasn't that big of a deal. I had taken an Ambian sleeping pill. I was especially stressed. It was at the end of my relationship with John Decker. He was not saying nice things to me. He was threatening me. I had taken an Ambian to go to sleep. I had a big day the next day. Then he was threatening me. I felt so unsafe, that I had to drive away. And I feel asleep driving. It wasn't really asleep. Ambian will put you into a trance like sleepwalking.

"The police pulled me over. They understood what was going on. They didn't want me to get into an accident, so they put me in jail for, like, a DUI. But they didn't take my license away."

Luke: "Were you molested while you were in jail?"

Ava: "No. The opposite. I was neglected. I was completely by myself. They wouldn't even give me a blanket. They wouldn't even come when I called. It was horrible."

Luke: "So you wouldn't recommend it?"

Ava: "No. Even though I hadn't showered and looked like hell, there was still a guy hitting on me, wanting to help me pick up car that was towed."

Luke: "Women don't understand when men hit on them [and the women are not wearing make-up]."

Ava: "I get hit on at the grocery store more than anywhere else, and I never have any make-up on. What are you guys thinking about?"

Luke: "Sex.

"Do they use any good lines?"

Ava: "I've never had anyone came up with anything clever. It's more, 'You're pretty. Can I have your phone number?'"

Luke: "Do most of them recognize you from your movies?"

Ava: "I don't think so. If they do, they don't say anything to me about it. Usually where I get recognized is Rite-Aid. They will say, 'Do I know you?' I will say no. 'Are you sure? I've seen you somewhere.'"

Luke: "How often do you get recognized?"

Ava: "Every once in a while. They just want to know if I am who they think I am. Then they go on their way, except for Kurt. He was quick to add that he'd been in the industry four months."

Luke: "Have you ever had a stalker?"

Ava: "No."

Luke: "Would you like one?"

Ava giggles: "Would you like to be my stalker?"

Luke: "Maybe."

Ava: "Have you ever stalked anyone before?"

Luke: "No."

Ava: "But you'd make a special exception for me?"

Luke: "Maybe."

Ava: "What would you do as my stalker?"

Luke: "Only if you wanted it. I'd peer in your windows."

Ava: "I think Kurt might get mad. It might be dangerous with our dogs."

Luke: "I'd run in and try on all your clothes."

Ava: "See? You weren't telling me this before."

Luke: "I couldn't admit it before, but now I feel more relaxed."

Ava: "Just because you admitted it, I'd let you try on all my underwear."

Luke: "That'd be a dream come true, as long as Kurt would not mind."

Ava: "It's funny how quick you are to say that."

Luke: "I'm a respectful stalker."

Ava: "I take it you wouldn't mind if Kurt asked your girlfriend if he could try on all her underwear?"

Luke: "I wouldn't appreciate that. I'd find it threatening."

Ava: "I think it would be funny."

Luke: "I don't like guys even looking at my girlfriend. I want to punch them in the face if they look at her for more than two seconds."

Ava: "That's how Kurt is too. I've never worn the clothes I do around him."

Luke: "Oh yeah. I want my girlfriend to wear longer dresses and longer sleeves and looser pants and cover the jewels up top. No peaks for the public."

Ava: "In Iraq or Iran, he would be perfectly content with the dress code."

Luke: "So would I. Keep her in a chador. Keep her at home pumping out babies, my babies.

"I guess bukkake is out for you."

Ava: "Yeah, but it was never in to begin with."

Luke: "That's uptight of you."

Ava: "Not really. Think about what it is. It's awful. I don't find anything sexy about it. I don't know anyone who's done it find it sexy. It's just a spectacle. I find its origins disturbing. [Purported Japanese ritual where a wife caught in adult is ejaculated on by all the men in the village and killed."

Luke: "If Kurt caught you in adultery, would he force you to do bukkake?"

Ava: "No. Would you force your girlfriend?"

Luke: "No. I'd blow my brains out if my girlfriend did a bukkake."

Ava: "He'd feel similarly. "

That we're fantasizing about this and putting it in a porn video is disturbing."

Luke: "There's a lot of disturbing stuff in this industry."

Ava: "I find that one especially so. I find the description of Rob Black's movies disturbing."

Luke: "Do you find it disturbing to have fans?"

Ava: "Not at all. I find it comforting. If I think about someone using it, I don't like to think about it. I used to be a fan of porn stars. It's nice to be what I once admired."

Luke: "What do you think about the look men get before they peak?"

Ava: "I get all excited and giggly when I have a secret. That face is a personal thing that a guy makes before he cums. It's different for everyone. I know what you look like when you cum. I tease Kurt about it. He gets a sexy face before he cums. It's always the same. He doesn't even know he does it."

Luke: "What does he sound like?"

Ava: "He's different on camera than at home. It's more his facial expression."

Luke: "Like a wounded hamster?"

Ava: "He just does this thing with his lips. He pushes it to the side and looks at something hard. What kind of looks do you get?"

Luke: "I look like Brad Pitt."

Ava: "Your face magically transforms into Brad Pitt."

Luke: "I used to be very religious when I came - Oh Lord, Oh Jesus Christ, Oh God. Do a lot of guys still do that or is that a thing of the past?"

Ava: "It's a thing of the past. I haven't experienced that. I don't go with very religious guys."

Luke: "I like to immediately gargle after going down on a woman."

Ava: "I brush my teeth after I eat anything.

"Kurt says a director wanted him to kiss a girl after cumming on her face. He said no."

Luke: "Is Kurt so flexible that he can go down on himself?"

Ava: "I don't think so. I've never seen him try.

"Tell me some more secrets."

Luke: "I like to find hot gossip for my website."

Ava: "That's not a secret. It's probably the worst kept secret in the industry. I was warned about you a long time ago. Way before we met. I was never worried about anything while I was with John because he said you guys had an understanding. You wouldn't say anything bad about him and he wouldn't kill you."

Luke: "Don't tell Kurt. I don't want him calling me - 'If you don't take that down, I'm going to kick your ass.'"

Ava: "Well, just don't say anything bad about him."

Luke: "I would never do that."

Ava: "You're not going to write anything bad about me either?"

Luke: "No."

Ava: "You say that innocently like you've never done it before."

Luke: "I'm just misunderstood."

Ava: "I don't keep on the gossip columns but Kurt does. He will be checking on this."

Luke: "I just get taken out of context."

Ava: "I can understand that. I've had that happen. I was on a couple of those TV Fifth Wheel dating shows. I know they take people out of context. I was on my best behavior to make sure nothing I said could be taken out for a snip. I never got to see the shows. Other people told me I looked good. I guess I should ask them for a copy."

Luke: "Just don't let Kurt see them."

Ava: "Sometimes he will see something in Adam Film World or something and he'll say, 'Ah hah.' "That's one of the reasons I don't get tapes of myself. I don't own a VCR. "Do you ever tape yourself having sex?"

Luke: "Never. I'm too shy."

Ava: "A lot of people don't believe me when I say I'm a shy porn star. Like acting, the adult business allows you to assume a different character."

Ava calls at 12:52 pm Friday. "You write about my dramatic lovelife. I've decided to cut out all the drama and ---- all the Kurt Lockwoods. Nikita Denise and I are getting married. She's my girlfriend. We've been going out for a couple of weeks. You can write about that. We were both at the Expo. She was signing for Club Jenna.

"I was talking to somebody in the industry and he had read that you and I are going out. That you wrote about it on your site.

"I don't think so."

Luke: "Are you primarily heterosexual or are you an angry dyke now?"

Ava: "No. I still have to have some male sex. I don't really care."

Luke: "The longer women stay in the porn industry, the more likely they are to become lesbians. Because you have to deal with so many sleazy guys, it turns you off men."

Ava laughs. "There's my wife on the other line. I have to go."

Nikita now looks great, much better than a year ago when she was passed out on the floor outside the AVN show.

The Strange Case of Ava Vincent

Saratoga writes on ADT:

I'm finding this beauty very intriguing.

I first saw her in "Studhunters" and was rather impressed by her. She struck me as a kind of ditzy blonde who was given a chance to act in a movie and acquitted herself rather well for a slightly slow-witted, but very sweet young lady.

A few weeks later I saw a movie with one Jewel Valmont, who played an advance degreed sexologist. She was quite a sharpie and rather lovely also. Soon thereafter I discovered to my amazement that Jewel Valmont is Ava Vincent.

So today I see my second Ava Vincent movie, the aptly titled "Believe It Or Not". And again, she's an adorable bombshell, but kind of -- you know -- one egg short of a carton. But then there's an interview segment as part of the movie and she's really dressed down with no trace of the Joker-like lipstick that she favors during her scenes. And presto! She's alert, kind of urbane and projects a smart-cookie sensibility.

So I'm left to wonder, is Ava Vincent a character that she always slips into? She does such a good job with her, as she's not really a stereotypical dumb blonde. She's just a little ponderous, maybe.

Would like to hear from her fans. Am I seeing something that's not really there and just based on a quick sampling of her work?
