Tonight the adult industry will be doing a fund raiser for Nikki Hunter and her real, non Sophia Lynn type cancer. Its great that their helping Nikki out, but what about the medical concerns of all the other whores. Rather than do fund raisers every time some whore is diagnosed with illness, why not do something more profound. Let the politicians talk about Universal Healthcare. Let porn take on Universal Whore Care (tm). How would it work you ask. Ordinarily large employers can purchase healthcare for employees and due to their size obtain better rates than individuals. The cost is then split between the employer and employee. In this case, you can have the various agents and studios purchasing for all whores in the industry and contributing approximately half of the cost. The whore would then contribute her half. Among the nifty features of a Universal Whore Care (TM) plan would be access to AIM tests, drug and psychological counseling with a co-pay. As the saying goes, healthy whores are happy whores. There is no shortage of whores who could use access to these services. If the industry can come together to implement something like Adult Industry Medicine, which is technically voluntary, then there's no reason why U.H. can't become a reality as well. I realize that there are a myriad of problems and issues that would have to be overcome. This is meant as a starting point for discussion on what those obstacles would be and how to overcome them. Its time for the adult industry to start acting like a billion dollar business rather than the Triangle Shirt Waist Company.

Hi Luke,If I had a subscription to HBO I could cancel it now. This is better then the Sopranos or any reality show out there... I mean your video interviews. There is a lot of interesting stuff that a video captures that a written transcript doesn't convey. Rob Spallone's likable character for example comes across so much better in video... From my vantage point it looks like the porn world with all its downsides is still a much more colorful place then most of today's corporate America. Like the valley itself it brings up a little bit of nostalgia for a time when things were more personal and not everything in our lives was plain and standardized like a Starbucks. I don't know what the future of porn will be but I hope that porn will remain stigmatized and a taboo for as long as possible. I keep thinking of Scorsese's movie "Casino" about how a bunch of street guys were running the casinos, until they screwed up, times changed and the corporations took over. I root for the street guys. Because they are more fun then the faceless suits, there is more of a human side to it. And it's where I come from... Anyway, it seems a lot of people take an issue with your lack of consideration for the trust they extend to you when you publish statements on your site that are unfavorable and not in the spirit of friendship. It makes me wonder how come after all this time anybody still even talks to you and I came up with the explanation that you as a character have a lot in common with the people and girls that you write about. The people that you feel represent missed opportunities for better lives, the people that should have been saved from porn or from themselves. Recently there was much of a debate about why we all were so fascinated with Anna Nicole Smith. Somebody described it as the train wreck that you are watch happen in slow motion and you just can't look away. The same is true for some characters in porn. The same might be true for you. You are sort of a train wreck happening in slow motion... that's why people like you. Including me. So, don't take it as an offense. What I really wanted to ask you is how do you make a living? It seems a bit of a mystery to me.
