I keep running into girls that Roy Garcia used to manage but who've now gone out on their own and they seem ill at ease around Roy.

Luke: "Roy's not your agent anymore?"
Estefana: "No, he's not."
She gives a nervous laugh.
Roy: "It doesn't have to be so hard. It could be easier. I did really good with you the first time."
Justine Romee: "Why not?"
Estefana: "A girl can do her own stuff. You don't need men."
Luke: "When did you get into the business?"
Estefana: "Two years ago [at age 18]. I was a dancer. It was really rough. Not knowing what's up. Going and appearing. You don't know what's up. You don't know about this stuff."
Luke: "The video industry or the stripping?"
Estefana: "The video."
Luke: "How long did it take you to get your feet on the ground?"
Estefana: "Honestly, until I managed myself. The only person who could then speak bad about me was myself."

Roy is standing right next to us as we talk. Estefana is nervous and awkward.
Estefana: "Umm, yeah, hmmm..."
Roy: "I was always supportive of you."
Estefana: "You hear rumors, you know, and you just don't want to hear it."
Luke: "The gossip in the industry."
Estefana: "I don't care about that."
I keep hearing porners telling me so frequently that they don't care about gossip and they don't care what people say about them. Only people who do care and have been deeply hurt would keep denying so loudly and publicly that they don't care. Estefana seems to feel but won't articulate clearly that Roy has said bad things about her.
Roy: "I never said anything bad about you."
Estefana: "Yes, hmm, tchhh."
Roy: "Why would someone trying to get you a job say bad things about you? That's ridiculous."
Estefana: "No, but you would hear people, just like... Sometimes you feel like your obligated..."
Luke: "To do more than you want to do."
Estefana: "And you shouldn't."
Luke: "When do you feel you were pushed to do more than you wanted to do?"
Estefana: "I just felt it, I don't know."
Justine to Roy: "You look good. You look like you've lost weight."
Estefana leaves with her friend Justine.
Roy calls out after her: "I have a job for you. Call me. You can still manage yourself."
The girls walk out the door without replying.
Luke: "So what do you think when Estefana said she was pushed to do things, like when Jon Dough put an extra guy on her?"
Roy: "He paid her more money. He asked her if it was ok and then he paid her more money. I know. I remember."
Luke: "She seemed like she was overwhelmed in her first few months in the industry? People were pushing her to do things she didn't want to do? She sounded like Belladonna?"
Roy laughs with the other porners in the room.
Luke: "They both said people were pushing them and manipulating them to do things they didn't want to do."
Roy: "No. I believe they were asking her and offering her money to do porn. And she had the choice to say yes or no. There are no guns on the set. It's just like business. You wanna buy this car? Maybe. Well, we'll lower the price.
"Everybody always has the choice to say yes or no. It's not like do-overs. Yeah, I'll take more money. I'll do the job but later I'm going to talk sh-t about you. Why? Just don't do it. Everybody has the power of choice. That doesn't make them a victim. That makes them an American - they can make a choice."
Luke: "What if they are 18 and foolish?"
Roy: "Everybody has the power to say yes or no. I was offered money to do all sorts of things more lewd and lascivious and I said no. 'Do you want to get in the car with me?' No. 'Do you want to suck my dick?' No. 'Do you want to do heroin?' No. I knew what I wanted and I knew how to say no."
Luke: "What if you were 18 and someone offered you $3000 to be done by twelve guys in a prison?"
Roy: "No. I've been offered a lot more than that and the answer was still no.

He goes to the qualified professionals who have the specific knowledge of the business.

Anonymous Webmaster emails: Roy Garcia is notorious for coercing girls into doing things they know they will regret, but they feel they have to in order to make it in the business.
